Well, I wish buying a car was this painless. This will be the 2nd laptop in 2 years I'm buying from Powernotebooks.com. My current laptop is still running strong and will be my wife's once the new one arrives. The only problem I ever had was with the power brick (out of warranty of course :err:) and they had a new one it's way to me within 1 day of ordering.

Mainly did everything via emails and my questions were answered with 1 day of being sent. Sometimes sooner.

This is the laptop I'm getting:

    Sager NP8150
Display: 15.6” Full HD 16:9 Wide screen (1920x1080) LED-Backlit Display with Super Clear Glare Type screen
    Video Card - GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6990M 256bit w/2GB GDDR5
    Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM (2.2~3.1GHz, 45W) w/6M L3 Cache - 4 Cores - 8 Threads
Thermal Compound: IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
System Memory: 8GB (2x4GB SODIMMS) DDR3/1333 Dual Channel Memory
Hard Drive: 500GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200RPM Hard Drive (16MB Cache Buffer)
Optical Drive Bay: Combo Dual Layer DVD ±R/RW CD-R/RW Drive w/Softwares
Memory Card Reader: 7-in-1 Memory Card Reader (All versions of MS + SD/MMC)
    Wireless Networking: Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi + Bluetooth™ 3.0+HS Combo Card
    Battery: 8 Cell Smart Lithium-Ion Battery 76.96Wh
    Operating System: Windows 7 Premium - (64-Bit installed - 64 and 32-bit CD included)
AC Adapter: Full Range 180W Auto Switching AC Adapter
    Carrying Case: Standard Carrying Case
    Branding: Sager Logo
Sager Limited Warranties: 1-Year Parts and Shipping plus Lifetime Labor and 24/7 DOMESTIC Toll Free Support (Labor & Support paid by PNB)

Can't wait to play around with it when it gets here. I always tell friends wanting to get a laptop mail order they ought to consider Powernotebooks.com as an option. You really can't go wrong. They are very helpful. To bad other companies CS isn't this good.

Sounds like you have a real winner here. I might have to keep my eye on Powernotebooks.com. Everyone seems to really like them

I'm currently in discussions with paladin44/Donald after being referred to him from a thread I started on the overclocker's forum about purchasing an MSI GT780DXR, which logically ended me with customising a PowerPro 12:17 and thus far I have had a pleasant experience. I have a feeling the recent influx of posts are simply recent customers who have been encouraged to join and have their say!
I had to join to get access to Donald's information, and he has been very helpful. I'm sure the rest of the team at powernotebooks are just as competent, but it is not something I can validly confirm.

The current specs I am looking into are promising and are exactly within my budget for what I'd like:

PowerPro 12:17 (Same chassis as MSI GT780/783)
The "or"s are simple something I have yet to decide on. And if anyone spots it, I simply don't require an operating system, because as an electronics student at Leeds Univeristy (UK) I can get W7 Prof 64-bit for absolutely free.

PNB, I've bought 2 computers from them, the first one they bumped my shipping up to Saturday AM delivery due to my m1710 dying. The second time, I was bumped up from the 2630qm to the 2670qm free of charge. Donald is EXTREMELY quick to respond, very personable, and his staff is amazing. My computer needs are met, I'm happy, and my NP8130 has no problems that merit any action. I think this is a perk of a smaller company; more personalized service. If so, it's a VERY good reason for me to stay with PNB (that, and the service doesn't come from halfway around the world ;) ).

Just got my NP8150 from UPS about 2 hours ago. I have to let it come up to room temp (it's -36 outside) before I do anything with it. I just unpacked it and will let it sit over night.

Nice looking laptop. The power brick for this thing is HUGHE! Measures 6.6 x 3.25 x 1.5. The only thing that I don't like is that it came with a Win 7 recovery DVD. :( It didn't say it came with a recovery DVD when I ordered it. I utterly hate the recovery DVD's. Looking at the DVD directory, it doesn't look like the old recovery DVD's I've experienced in the past. It maybe a Win 7 DVD labeled as a recovery DVD. I will just have to see.

It is pure Windows 7 just as if you bought it retail off the shelf. No bloatware, no scamware, and no drivers. The only difference is that it comes with an OEM license instead of a retail license...that is, it is only licensed to be used on your Sager NP8150.

You also have the drivers CD that also contains no bloatware or scamware.

It is as pure as the driven snow at -36 degrees :D

Yes I figured it out later. Looking at the disk,it looked like a Win 7 disk as you said.

Really happy so far with the laptop. It's warmed up to -22.

Does anyone buy Alienware M17x/M18x from Powernotebooks.com? Yesterday I saw 15% discount on orders of $2,499/$3,799+ and than 30 mins after I checked again they changed to 10% discount.. That's suck!!
