Hey guys, I'm trying to help one of my friends in the UK find a Sager laptop. He was looking at an ASUS w/ a 635M for nearly $1350, which I thought was a total ripoff, when I can configure a 15" Sager notebook w/ a 670M for $1350.

I found Eurocom, but the pricing is "off" from the US pricing retailers. Or is there a reseller who will ship to the UK?

    Thanks guys

Most will ship to the UK, so you might want to try contacting them directly. The problem will be that a US retailer will only have the US warranty by default (unless you pay for an upgraded European warranty) which means that you'd have to pay shipping both ways if there was any need for it to be serviced.

Also note that there will obviously be taxes and customs duties on top of higher international shipping when sent overseas as well.

i agree, here in UK, it is so expensive, iv been looking at purchasing in europe (portugal etc) or USA and getting shipped/brought over....could potentially cost over 600pounds extra for a top sepc

It's not cheap being a reseller either! 20% VAT + shipping + insurance if you want to bring anything in from the states.

i will check your website out, a good friend lives in deutschland so i would be able to get him to purchase and then maybe bring it over to england...or do you accept UK credit cards...i am looking for the most cost effective way to get one, whether it is USA, or Europe (best exchange rate)_ but most prices at the moment seem to even themselves out...except in england where it is alot pricier

I guess it is, but I would be better of buying it in England in case something does go wrong.. I don't know maybe it's me, I've got family in the UK so I can take the luxury of ordering something from the UK but again, a friend in Germany is okay I guess, I'm just thinking what if something broke or worse, just a minor not over though scenario I've got going here :p

Yes we do accept UK credit cards (via paypal). And you also can just pay via wire transfer (IBAN/SWIFT - this is the cheapest way to pay!).
About warranty: we have a deal with DHL and the Royal Post Office which enables us to provide FREE RETURN SHIPPING from the U.K.

So if you'll ever have a warranty case, we allow free and fast shipping back to Germany, you notebook will get repaired in a couple of days and we'll ship it back to the U.K. for free.

So there's absolutely no need to worry. We already have a lot of customers in the U.K. and we even had some minor warranty cases. At one time we even shipped a single extra keyboard to the U.K. because the first one was faulty.

    Just talk to us! :)

Well then, but if i want a W110ER model it looks like there are what 1 or 2 UK resellers, 1 swedish 1 polish... but actually i didn't find anyone with prices in Euro :)
And yes I know that the model is brand new. But how about chances that mysn will put the 11" clevo in their line in the near future. And if yes how near will the future be?

We definately will put the W110ER in our line-up but please let's wait until we have some hard data.
For a general rule of thumb: every time Clevo relases a barebone that's really worth it - we are going to be the first ones that are actually delivering!

If you live in EU and buy from EU the VAT is included in the price, you do not have to pay extra VAT in our country. What you pay to the store is all you have to pay.

This applies to all EU countries.

Once one product is VAT taxed in any EU country its considered as EU product and will not VAT taxed again in another EU country.

However, there are some small parts which are not considered part of EU taxwise (Guernsey for example). If you get something from there you have to pay import tax (Happened to me once).

But if you order in Germany and get it delivered to UK, you pay 19% german VAT and no UK VAT.

Thanks a lot. That seems great.

Assuming that "inkl. 19% Mwst, zzgl" means the 19% VAT is included, then mysn.de is much cheaper than the UK.

"inkl. 19% Mwst" -> VAT included
"zzgl. Versand" -> shipping costs not included

Just as every other Clevo reseller we project this card to be available by end of May. It really doesn't matter that much on what point in time your order the card - it won't be available any sooner anyway!

    Just wait :p
We'll put it online soon enough! :)

I cannot say that at the moment.
But if I compare it on a mythologic configuration there is a price difference of ~100 USD between 3610qm and 3612qm.
I mean 3612 is only 35TDP, so it should run cooler - but if heat isn't a big problem (which I don't know exactly now) I do not see a benefit in investing more money for lower performance.
Student budgets are not good for buying new computer gadgets :)

At mySN the price difference from 2670QM to 3612QM is 43,- €. Seems pretty cheap, i think there is no need for the 3610QM.

But the 3610 is still faster. 200Mhz difference. I wouldn't just say that there is no need for it.

There is no official matte screen option of the Clevo barebone. So all options you will find by other resellers are only the glossy screen with a matte layer on the top, not a "real" matte screen.

    @ 3612QM vs. 3610QM:
What do you wanna do with your W110ER?
Office and gaming? Then you don't need a i7, an i5 would fit in your configuration and you can save money.
i7 is only needed if you want rendering and other things where you need full CPU power.

That was one thing i considered. But I have to admit that the May-offer A102 isn't bad at all.
Question for me there is, if I want to take a Killer 1103 over Intel 6320.
