Long story kinda short I ordered a P750DM2 from another Clevo reseller who shall remain nameless. On receipt the backlight bleed was so bad and the color accuracy so bad on the PLS display I decided to return it. Even the support manager said "oh wow, that's not right!" when I showed him pics. Decided to do what I should have done in the first place and do a little more research which led me to NBR of course.

I should say I'm not the typical P870KM buyer. The last video game I played was EVE Online years ago lol. I'm buying it as a mobile (ish?) workstation. I work in public safety IT (think 911 and police) and do a lot of GIS / mapping and SQL database consulting work on the side. I already have the needed storage, RAM and a delidded / conductonaut'd 7700K, so all I need is a barebones chassis.

I emailed HIDEvolution Sunday afternoon asking if I could get a quote for a barebones P870KM with a single GTX1070 with the upgraded vapor chamber CPU/GPU cooler and basically nothing else. (Rendering a full state's worth of map data can peg even a 7700k at 100% for hours, so cooling is a huge concern).

I expected to get a quote Monday or Tuesday when I got home. Imagine my surprise a couple hours later when I have an email from Ted at HID in my inbox. Of course, it wasn't just a quote. Instead of just giving me a quote and locking me in to one particular build he updated the friggin website to offer the upgraded cooler on the 1070 models (it was originally only an option for the 1080s). Needless to say I was surprised to get any response at all on a Sunday, certainly not one that involved changing a website to help me order. Now reading all of the feedback on here I'm sold! As soon as the other reseller processes my refund I'm going to be ordering my new toy.

@Phoenix they should really hire you in their PR department! :-D

I love this too. I made a comment about delidded i5s once, and then boom it was available.

They really do have unmatched customer service. Placed my order not realizing there was a NBR discount and I got a call asking if I was a member, because my build looked a lot like what someone who had read through these forums would order.
