I've experienced this with 3 games now, all of them rather low budget indie games - Windforge, Masterspace, and Pioneer (the space sim)

When I go to settings and change any of the games to full screen at any resolution, even less than 1080p, the game screen suddenly extends past the bottom and right of my physical screen. I've tried taking screenshots of it, but the screenshots always come out looking normal.

Has anybody ever encountered this before?

Screenshots capture what is in the video card framebuffer, which will always be correct. You need to take a pic with a camera.

That said, there's should be a setting somewhere in the control panel to fix the overscan. I had to do this when I hooked up to my TV with HDMI.
