    Hi,

Has any one faced warranty claim problems because of opening the bottom of earlier razor blade versions. I am thinking to upgrade to 512gb ssd my self , but read it voids warranty. Will they come to know if we carefully open without any scratches on screws and replace with stock ssd while sending back for warranty claim? are there any stickers or seals which cover screw holes?

Alright, I've seen this question a lot.

They most likely are going to know that you opened it. However, in my experience it does not matter if you open it. I opened my razer blade and upgraded the storage, I then had a problem with the gpu and had to sent it to razer. They fixed it free of charge because they know me upgrading the storage had nothing to do with the GPU failing. There was also a thread on this forum about a guy who had monitor issues after he upgraded his storage, they fixed his blade free of charge. In my opinion buddy, If you know what you are doing go ahead and upgrade your storage. You will be fine. If they think that you opening the system caused the problem that you are sending in the laptop for, they will not fix it for free and you will be out of warranty.

It is their job to tell you that the warranty will be voided if you open it. Why would they tell everyone "YEAH OPEN IT UP, HAVE AT IT"? I feel like people would then be opening it for the hell of it because they know razer will fix whatever problem they create.
