    is there any information on a R3 version for this year?

    what i would like to see is:

    - Haswell CPU. They are released in June.

    - A Nvidia 700M GPU (already announced). GTX 760m

    - structural improvements, for example:
    * the switch-blade could have gorilla glass,
    * a better keyboard layout (arrows mostly)
    * led switchblade?

    - lower price, maybe between US$2000.00 -- $2200.00

    My understanding is that Haswell and the Kepler refresh are not going to help battery life much at load. Of course, if Razer gives us another $500 off coupon for being R2 owners that may tempt me to pick up an R3.

    If I could have one thing, I'd like to see the Blade become like the MBP - soldered on RAM, custom size SSD, tiny motherboard, and twice the battery capacity. I want the Beast on a diet.

    I will upgrade to an R3 when it comes out. Having the 500$ coupon would be great, and a good way to recycle my R2. But the main reason is that I appreciate the lower mass when you compare it to an M18. My back thanks me every time I have to travel. A laptop that goes beyond 10 lbs can be a hassle to drag when you have to travel a lot, and when you have been in transit for over 12H, it can make a big difference on how you feel.

    haswell will help battery life considerably. they may refresh it 4th quarter, or maybe announce it but launch in january. all speculation at this point.

    There's no question that Haswell should help out a lot with battery life. I think the question is, how much does the 7xxM series help with battery life when in use? I guess not many people game while on battery, though it would be nice if it was more plausible with newer GPUs.

    Wait a couple more days until the 30th. Razer is supposedly announcing something that is thinner than a dime (height I assume). I personally think it may be the Blade R3 but we will see soon.

    Assuming that "thinner than a dime" is for the diameter, it makes perfect sense to be the R3....these two days will be very long.
