Has anyone else noticed intermittent lag spikes every 5 minutes or so using the built-in wireless adapter? When I use a USB wireless adapter, the problem goes away so it's not likely my router. Ping spikes to about 300ms in game, then slowly subsides to normal. It's not unplayable, but still pretty annoying.

Nope, but I updated to the new driver pretty much immediately.

Yeah I had no problems getting 300 with the 2013 RB14 with default settings, but with this supposedly better card I get much worse rates. I saw the same thing with my Edge pro as well when I tried to update to the AC card. My router must not like AC but it sure connected to the Killer 1102 (?) cards just fine.

Installing newer intel drivers on my egde pro caused me nothing but grief. I ended up having to roll back to my previous drivers to get bluetooth and wireless working again. I suppose I will try it one of these days but I'm much more gun shy now. If I knew it would fix more problems than it causes I would be more willing to try it. I saw a lot of other reports with the same issues so it wasn't just me having these problems.

If you have Intel 7260, you can disable scan when connected by adding a registry parameter dword32 "ScanWhenAssociated" and set it to zero. In essence, it completely disables roaming so you shouldn't get ping spikes every 3 - 5 minutes.

However, Broadcom drivers are smart enough to disable roaming "only" when a continuous streaming data is happening. Otherwise, it scans every 3 - 5 minutes to roam while idle.

Strange, I'm using the latest update with an Asus RT-N56U and still no luck with 300mpbs on the 2.4 band, even with the laptop right next to the router.
