    Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me what is your max temp for CPU when gaming? I feel really hot, CPU package goes up to 96c and the rest about mid 90'. Any advises to lower CPU temp?

    Thanks in advance

If it gets that hot when gaming then that's normal. I put new thermal paste on the CPU and GPU of my Blade and it's in the high 70's - low 80's for most games now, so if you're technically inclined then that's something you can do. If you're laptop is dusty then use a can of compressed air to clear out any dust from the vents, it does help.

What compound did you use? 2014 blade or 2013?

Those temperatures do seem normal. Keep in mind that the max reading you get is most likely due to a spike in temperature. Once the fans are running at the appropriate speed your CPU temps should be hovering around the mid 80's. Undervolting the CPU is a good way to keep those temps down.

    90c+ doesn't seem normal.

Running furmark I capped out around 85c.

Furmark mostly stresses your GPU. When your CPU and GPU are being stressed at the same time the temps tend to be a bit higher.

Just ran Prime95 and Furmark (1080p, 4x AA) together for about 20 minutes. The middle area of the keyboard was pretty warm, though not uncomfortably, and the area around the vents where the chassis meets the screen was scorching hot, but otherwise the laptop was just warm. GPU hit a max of 89C with an average of 87C, and the CPU hit a max of 96C with an average of 95C. Also ran the benchmark for Arkham Origins (1080p, mostly max settings, TXAA low). The GPU was at an average of 85C, and the CPU was at an average 86C. The hotspots on the laptop stayed roughly the same, just a little cooler around the keyboard.

Furmark and Prime95 running for over 11 minutes and I'm 87c CPU/76c GPU. Keys are hot as hell though. If I rest my hand on the keys it starts to get very uncomfortable. The keys that are the hottest are 789uiojkl keys. Temps haven't gone any higher. Disappointed in this throttling though. It went from 975mhz or whatever down to 875~

    EDIT:
Now at 25 minutes 91c/77c (goes up to 84c but throttling keeps intervening and dropping FPS so the temp drops a bit.)

    EDIT 2:
Looks like repasting in your case didn't do much for temps and may have in fact made it worse. My CPU hasn't gone above 91c.

If some of the keys are so hot that they're uncomfortable to touch then you may have suffix net cause to contact Razer support. I haven't seen any throttling on my Blade, but in some of the other threads on here I recall others mentioning it was occurring to them.

My temps used to higher. Hell my CPU would get up to 99C. My apartment is usually warm as well so that didn't help things. I'll wait a week to burnin the paste and if my temps don't improve I'll probably just repaste.

So far it's only happened playing Heroes of the Storm and during the Furmark test. Ran FFXII-2 and Batman Arkham Asylum and it didn't heat up as much.

I dont know my laptop is faulty or not. But when I'm playing game like Battlefield 4, Dota 2 or even NBA 2k15, the left palm area is hot and the top of keyboard near the vent is very hoy. After I downclock the CPU to 2.2 and undervolt to -80 its better but still warm. I'll try to re-paste after my warranty has expired.

Re-pasting won't make it any better, might make it worse, in fact since it will dissipate the heat better so the chassis will heat up more. Thermal paste doesn't cool the CPU/GPU it just allows it to make contact with the heatsinks better to dissipate heat.

OK now. I undervoltage and underclock CPU core down to 2.2ghz. Everything is fine now, temperature drops more than 10c and still remain the same performance as 3.2ghz when gaming (this is what I've tested from many games) but others work as editing video I'm not sure, since the purpose of my machine just only for gaming. Now I can put my palm on the laptop without any worries.

    Sorry for my English.
