Curious as to what you guys are seeing for CPU and GPU temps in your Razer blade advanced or studio models. My 2080SMQ usually levels out around 76C when GPU is set to medium and will easily break 80C when set to high. CPU will climb into the 80s if set to boost but will usually sit in the 70s if on medium

Is Advanced 2018 counted? If yes cpu can goes easily to 90ish when on gaming mode and max turbo boost (maybe current synapse high), gpu maxed at 81 no matter what profile (since this model is hits also 90 watt on balance) on gaming, so I use mostly balanced mode and limiting turbo boost to 3,6 or 3,0 depends the titles. There’s no huge FPS performance difference unlike on cinebench but can hold the heat in 80ish areas. This’s on repasted unit after 2 years usage, thinking applying liquid metal not sure if it’s worth, don’t want to ruins the vapor chamber.

Interesting, so maybe GPU really does run that hot in RBA, that’s disturbing to me. I couldn’t find any real world usage information, should have asked before buying. It’s too hot for me, and it’s near danger zone.

I use liquid ultra in CPU only, for the GPU I used a graphite pad after trying liquid metal on GPU as well and finding it only improved by a margin of error, the graphite pad is more stable so I went back to using that for GPU ONLY! Graphite pad was useless in the CPU, liquid metal is necessary for it. What is your total GPU power consumption for the 1070MQ? I think on medium 2080SMQ tops out around 90W for me, but averages 85. On high it averages 95 and can top out at a ridiculous 115w and temps will definitely get into the mid 80s on high mode, which I don’t use. Low mode it’s about 75W average with a peak of 85W, so you can say each setting interval tends to adjust by maybe 10W

Hmm I think low 80ish gpu is fine my 2017 and 2015 blade 14 was also around that range. Only the cpu that’s bad imo, on old blade 14 with bad cooling sink apparently I even disable turbo boost to keep cpu on 80ish. This’s on balance mode running unigine which I think good for measuring power draw with gaming mode it’s a bit higher like 2 or 3 watt, didn’t see 95 watt so far today it’s 90 watt one, not sure if they changed per bios/synapse update or so, before I saw max 95 watt on HWinfo64 (somehow HWinfo64 doesn’t show gpu tdp and vrm temperature like before maybe I ruined some setting).

On my Studio Edition 2020 I got 90 degree CPU and 75 GPU while playing. CPU is at ~4ghz GPU is at ~ 1600 mhz 90W. While kernel compiling at 55w I am at 100 degree and this is after repaste with Kingpin Extreme. Next step is LM I suppose... Mild undervolt -80 because otherwise it will crash.

What are your power settings for CPU/GPU? Boost/high?

    It is equa
It is equal to synapse custom cpu to boost gpu to high or said cpu is 55W GPU is at 90W but again it is linux
