Am I the only one who is having issues picking a web browser? Internet Explorer has butter-smooth scrolling, fast load times, etc but has 0 customization or add-ons. Firefox has stuttery scrolling (yes, I turned off hardware excel and have toggled all the options...) and low-res interface textures. Chrome is not natively hi-dpi friendly (can use a mod, however) but apparently uses battery like crazy according to Forbes, not good news on a laptop.

I would use Firefox if I could just get the scrolling to be smooth.... Has anyone had any success with that? Im up-to-date on my graphics drivers and have turned off/on the different options for scrolling...

Any thoughts? What are you all using? I am on a RB 14 (2014) by the way.

Tried using the alternatives to Chrome that you listed and was up unhappy with them. Luckily, I found out this weekend that Chrome beta has added some sort of high dpi support and is also working on fixing the battery. With all the press about Chrome and battery life, I don't think we would need to wait too long until the issue is addressed.

I just downloaded the Chrome Beta and am using that: Chrome Browser
Will just have to hope that the battery issue is solved sooner than later!

The chrome battery issue only applies when a flash content is activated. Also, apparently it doesn't really affect Win 8 because of how the kernel works now.
