Anyone have Watch Dogs yet? I'm curious how well it plays on the 2014 Razer Blade 14". Please post your settings and experience. Thanks!

I clocked in 40+ hrs over the weekend on the "preview" version. I cannot be completely sure but I think it was the same or very close to the release version. I played it at many different settings and resolutions, but in the end I settled on playing on ultra, with FXAA at 1920x1080. It averaged high 30s, but dipped to 30 once and a while and went above 40 occasionally. On high it was about 10fps higher (40-50) so some may prefer that instead. Other than the occasionally stutters when driving it ran great and I did not have a single crash or issue in that 40+ hrs.

I was extremely impressed with the graphics and nice touches all over in the game. People had conversations about their daily lives and I didn't hear the same things over and over. The hacking and skills and progression system worked good. I loved the mini games and spent time learning how to play chess. Rain, reflections, water, leaves and grass looked really nice. Textures were very crisp and on ultra it uses the full 3GB on the 870m. Garbage blowing around in the street, vehicles had realistic scuffs/rust/dirt/damage too.

I have it through Steam now too but have been unable top play it yet due to uplay being down earlier. I was having problems logging on so I was going to uninstall and reinstall, then I find out it was a uplay issue and now I cant play at all until it comes back up so I can reinstall uplay. Ironically after buying it I may have to go back to playing the "preview" version on my desktop if I can't get uplay reinstalled on the Razer.

I've played it for awhile now. I run it at 900p and can get what appears to be a solid 60FPS on high. The game is an optimized mess though, so with hopefully coming patches, it'll perform even better soon enough. I play in a completely quiet room right after I get off work (overnights) and the Blade gets pretty loud when playing, almost surprisingly so. With an -85 undervolt, my temps maxed out at 90-91c on CPU and the GPU never passing 86c. CPU was in the mid-high 80s on average. Dat noise though. I have the Razer Hammerhead in ear gaming buds with bi-flange tips for "superior noise isolation and bass response" and even then can the blade sometimes over the game.

I use the type of headphones that completely cover the ear, so I had never heard my blade until the other day when family came over. I changed the sound to my desk speakers when showing them Watch Dogs and heard the fans for the first time, and I was even surprised with the sound. Not that I thought it was super loud, it's just that I never heard them full blast like that before since I use headphones while gaming.

I have been playing. But, TBH there are just wayyy to many bugs for me to continue. Half the time I can't holster my weapon. The game skips during cut scenes. And, most annoyingly, it always starts in windowed mode, even though I always change it to full screen.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I got the game but haven't had much time to play yet.

I did hear it's pretty buggy. Hopefully they'll fix it with some patches soon. I have the "windowed" problem in most of my games unless I'm running them at native resolution. The solution is to reset the screen resolution to match the game before launching it.

I guess I haven't found any bugs but I have noticed the slowdowns while driving though.
