    Hi.

I recently got the Razer Blade 14/2014. So far, I'm pretty pleased with it. However, I'm having one small problem: I've set Windows to "do nothing" when I close the lid. While, when I close the lid, the machine correctly stays awake (and, looking closely, the screen either turns off or goes blank), the keyboard lighting and back logo lighting stay on. Does anyone know how I can have these turn off when I've got the laptop closed but awake?

I've tried the "Switch all device lighting to OFF when display is turned off" option in Synapse 2.0 (version 1.18, wacky as that sounds), and it had no visible effect.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks!

That option worked for me on 1.17 for my Blade 2013. I would try turning the option off and on. Possibly try reinstalling Synapse. Otherwise, can try contacting support.

Just tried both (including uninstalling Synapse and rebooting first), with no luck. :( I'll chill another day or two before emailing support; this is not a dealbreaker for me on the laptop. :)

    Thanks,

Hello. I can confirm similar results. When I set 'close lid action' to 'do nothing' I expect the screen, and any other LEDs to shut off but keep the laptop running full. I get the same results as you, and the screen does not shut off either.
This worked as you (and I) expected on the 2013 model.

Anyone have any further insight on this? There have been several updates to Synapse since (including one with a change that sounded relevant), I've uninstalled and reinstalled it at least twice, and this feature still isn't working for me.

    Thanks!

I'm having a similar issue. I can put the computer to sleep just fine by pressing the power button or closing the lid. The problem is that the computer randomly comes back on when the lid is closed. There's been times when I looked in my bag and found the laptop closed but on with the Razer logo on. For now, I've been setting it to hibernate instead of sleep but I'd like to go back to making it sleep if I can find out what's causing it to wake up.
