    Hello Guys.

    I'm new here in the forum and just wanted to ask if someone knows if you can do something in Synapse?

    1. Would like to change my fan curve!
    2. Has anyone already done that?
    3. Does anyone know what to change and where to design them yourself?

    Thanks for the information in advance

    You can not change curve. You can change only target speed.

    Hello.

    Thank you for your answer.
    Yes, I know that but "and that is the question":
    1. I would like to adjust the fan curve or
    2. lower the manual 2300rpm to 1500

    I just don't know whether it is controlled via Synapse or via the BIOS ......?
    But rather I think it is done via Synapse! Maybe synapse can be rewritten - programmed

    It is controlled by one controller which is closed source. Synapse just gives command but it is static control no curve. I have made reverse engineering to write linux application to control Razer laptops. That's why I am sure that there is no way directly.

    Thank you for your answer. A friend of mine is a programmer and he has a lot of specialist knowledge.
    1. Is it generally not possible?
    2. not even with a bios programmer?
    3. Do you know where to look or where that is anchored in?

    Have you got a RazorBlade yet ?

    Fan is controlled by embedded controller, not BIOS, and we have no way of changing the fan tables there.

    Thank you for the answer...... that is Not good..... :(
    I Have hoped, there is a way.....

    Does it give a Notebook, who is same as the Razor Blade with Full Fan Control.

    My Neighbor has a TongFang..... In Office the Fan Have no noise and you can change the Fan Curve Manuel.

    Can you confirm if fan is off at low temperature + AC power? Base always had fan running regardless.

    Try undervolting the CPU? If you lower the overall CPU temp the fans should come on less frequently.

    Thank you for answer 4W4K3, yes i would try too undervolt the CPU and at the GPU with Afterburner.

    It's so difficult to find really well made hardware with good software ....... annoying ...... first had ASUS ROG G75 ...... then Alienware Area17 ....... and now RazerBlade but in terms of software everything has been very modest up to now ...... it can't be that difficult to make a manual fan control - fan curve with notebooks around 3000 (Euro).

    I am not sure you can access flesh of the controller with any programmer beside debugger. Also I don't know living developer writing for this platform nds32.... I am programming microcontrollers from 15 years so I know thing or two, this one is not of them.

    For temporary solution just unplug the power, at least on my advanced 2018 it’s dead silent and can hold like 6 hours office works or browsing. It’s maybe only me after using a looong time Blade that kick in off on idle sounds when plugged in to the wall doesn’t bother me anymore :D

    There doesn't seem to be a way to manually bring the fans below 2300rpm.
    Has anyone ever heard of a resistor that is soldered into the + cable - so that the fans simply get less power and only turn 70%?
    Has anyone tried it yet?

    Today there is an update for the fan control solved for me!

    I unsoldered the red cable on the fan under the sticker (Sunon) and then soldered in 2 diodes (the resistor would also work but the diode has a straight - nice line on the oszyloscope)
    This means that the fans currently no longer get 5V but 3.6V and therefore only run at 70% under full load and are therefore a lot quieter than before.

    On the software side, there is actually no chance to slow down the fans in any way.

    As I have seen EC control program is stored in the same eeprom as Bios.
    AFUWINGUI has switches for EC update.

    How did you dump it?

    My 2 cents:

    In Synapse3 you can export the profile. It creates a file with the extension as synapse3.
    Just rename to zip and you'll find XML files inside.

    One of them has this content:

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <PowerPerformanceMode xmlns:xsi=" http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd=" http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

    <FanMin>4000</FanMin>
    <FanMax>5300</FanMax>
    </CustomSetting>
    </OnBatteryPerformanceMode>
    <PluggedInPerformanceMode>
    <Mode>Balanced</Mode>
    <BalancedSetting>
    <FanRPM>4500</FanRPM>
    <FanRPMDefault>4500</FanRPMDefault>
    <FanMin>3700</FanMin>
    <FanMax>5300</FanMax>
    </BalancedSetting>
    <UltrabookSetting>
    <FanMin>2000</FanMin>
    <FanMax>5300</FanMax>
    </UltrabookSetting>

    <FanRPMDefault>4600</FanRPMDefault>
    <FanMin>4000</FanMin>
    <FanMax>5300</FanMax>
    </GamingSetting>
    <CustomSetting>
    <FanRPMDefault>4600</FanRPMDefault>
    <FanMin>4000</FanMin>
    <FanMax>5300</FanMax>
    </CustomSetting>
    </PluggedInPerformanceMode>
    </PowerPerformanceMode>

    Maybe editing this file, zipping back, renaming to synapse3 and importing as a new profile can have the wanted effect.

    Again, all data is stored in EC. You can have only one target RPM stored inside. You can not even read current RPMs from EC, only target one. So your system can not be full silent, and you can not have curve except with external app constantly writing new values inside EC. I have reverse engineered communication packets to EC, to write Linux control app, so I have tested bunch of things.

    Does this means that the above mentioned fan settings are 'useless' in their own software?
    Actually I did not try it as I managed to reach what I wanted (completely silent operation during light work (office/web/YT) - so I have no reason to dig deeper ;)
    Just 115mV UV for core/cache, then 99% max for the CPU in power management and the laptop is silent.

    All data you see is set one digit at time when you select balanced or gaming or whatever from interface and what is it - slider with min max and position. On battery every razer is silent on power fans are always on just open back and watch fans.
