    Hello guys,

after a failed Bios update (from 1.03 to 1.05) my notebook doesn't boot. I have a blackscreen without razer logo or any reaction for key combinations. I've tried all solutions what i could found on forums and internet, but the result is the same: blackscreen with glowing keyboard. Razer doesnt give me any support...I forgot to do a bios backup...

After some videos and tutorials i feel ready to flash the bios chip, but can't find a BIOS file for exactly same model. So my hope a request for a dump or a possible solution.... Can someone extract the file from the razer .exe? Can I use the 2019 RZ09-313x file for reflash (Razer Blade Advanced)?

Its about the Razer Blade Studio 2019 (RZ09-03135).

On ebay i found a chip... but I feel not ready to try change it with heatsink etc- without trying to do it digital with AsProgrammer...

I hope someone can help me to waking up the blade... :(

Thank you very much for the information!

So should I try to flash the the file with the AsProgrammer directly to the bios chip without any changes?

Is there a possibility that the (from Razer uploaded) file is corrupted, or it was "only" a mistake while the update process? I ask this cuz i found about 5 other people on forums with the same complaints for the Razer Studio (2019).

What should I do if the file is corrupted, can i try to flash "backwards" to v1.03 (if i find that dump or .exe anywhere...) or should i try to find a mistake in the corrupted file? Is there maybe a tutorial how to try some (main) settings without fully damage the laptop?

Sorry for this amount of questions......

    Thank you again!

I had same issue with my 2020 15 advanced. I went to update my BIOS, BSOD, and bricked. I used hardware flasher to write bios rom from the Razer updating software and it worked perfect

Hey, my Studio Edition is alive!!! I followed the linked instructions. Extract the bin file. Flashed with the AsProgrammer (instead of CH431a.exe). Used the bigger adapter for the SOI8.

Works now. Thanks for the link!

Glad you were able to unbrick, I wish somebody would sticky this method so we don’t have to have new threads or people asking the same question over and cover again

    Yeah thats a nice idea!

    Here in summary the instructions:

    1. Buy CH341a Programmer with soi8 connector
(For example this one "Black Edition" https://www.ebay.com/itm/JW-USB-Programmer-CH341A-Burner-Chip-Writer-SOP-Clip-Adapter-EEPROM-BIOS-FLAS/233635841518)

    2. Download "UniExtract" from Github and the Razer Update
    3. With "UniExtract" extract the Razer Update and find the 16 MB Bios *.bin File (in my case it was named Charlotte4_0105.bin)
    4. Download AsProgrammer

    Location of the Chip: http://forum.notebookreview.com/attachments/bios-chip-location-jpg.187048/
    5. Connect to a another laptop with the chip (like this): [IMG]

"Connect pin 1 of the clip to pin 1 of the bios chip.
Pin 1 on the clip is where the red cable is.
Pin 1 on the chip is where I made the red dot in the attached picture “pin 1 bios chip” http://forum.notebookreview.com/attachments/pin-1-bios-chip-jpg.187049/."

On Studio Edition 2019 installed chip is GD25B127D ( https://www.gigadevice.com/flash-memory/gd25b127d/)

    6. Run AsProgrammer
    7. Press on green "?" detect button

If everything is good connected, at the point where you click on "Detect (green ?)" at AsProgrammer, a list should pop up with 2 choices (Chips from GD25B family). Otherwise try the steps on the linked youtube video for the connection between the programmer and chip connection.

    8. Choose the bios chip
    9. Press "Programm IC" its a red arrow
    10. Wait 10 minutes
    11. Enjoy the magic!

P.S. Heres a video how to use the programmer:

**DO THIS IF YOUR WARRANTY TIME IS GONE AND YOU HAVE NO OTHER SOLUTION**

**ATTENTION: IF YOU FLASH THE WRONG CHIP (WITHOUT SAVING A DUMP): YOU CAN BRICK YOUR MAINBOARD AND NEED THEN REPLACEMENT** So take care and do a backup before erase, blank and programming!

** You can use another software of course. I read that on the linux the flash software is pretty good. I say this, because CH341a.exe dont detected my chip, but i was able to erase it, if I wanted to write it = i had a ERROR. So my opinion is: with AsProgrammer you have better Chip Detection and can only programm the chip, if the software knows which chip is connected.

At least: Its good for environment to repair things like that, before it comes to trash...

Special Thanks to Raidriar and gibber75! For mods visit his post!

    Hello guys,

I have the exact same issue with my Razer Blade 2020 Advanced version with the 2070 super and the 300hz screen. I want to fix it my self as I can see many of you have been able to. I have the tools coming tomorrow and trying to get the dump of the bios needed for this from the updater from razer. Unfortunately when I used the Universal Extract I got two files in the folder where I extracted it to one called "file0016.bin" which has 0kb in size and second one called "script.bin" which is 4kb in size. I am pretty sure neither of these two are the files are need. Any help would be worth to me more than gold. Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, can anybody help with BIOS dump? I flashed the charlotte file from update package but this erased my serial number, sku and so on...
It seems I have no HW default values. I did the PL unlock mod and tried to revert as everything crashes under load.

If somebody could post the VR screens for both IA and GT domains, this would help also!
