I purchased my blade Monday and quickly downgraded to Windows 7. In the process I lost my Recovery partition and would like like to return the 256 to the stock partition scheme and setup.

While I had little trouble installing W7 I've noticed a few hiccups with devices failing to start or needing to restart occasionally that have made me change my mind.

If anyone has a clone of their original drive right out of the box or even of a 2014 blade recovery usb I'd appreciate it.

Can you call Razer customer service and ask for a USB drive to be sent out to you? I'm not sure if this will give you a recovery partition but at least it would put Win8 back on.

Can't you download Windows 8 from MS and use the product key on the sticker?

So I emailed Razer Monday morning about the flash drive through their support system and while I've received an automated reply and a message with a form to fill out for shipping I haven't heard anything new since 3-4am Tuesday morning.

And yes, I could just install Windows 8 from disc (I own a copy already) but I'd much MUCH prefer to just return it to a factory new state and go from there.

I'll be sending this out once we're back in the office.

The Razer office in Carlsbad , California has been affected by the recent brush fires in the area.
All Razer staff was forced to evacuate our office and at this time we do not know when we will be able to return to the office.

We anticipate this problem to be short lived and hope to be back in our office very soon.
The good news is all Razer Staff and others in the area appear to be safe and out of harm’s way.

Due to this evacuation our reply to your email will be delayed.
Our staff will work remotely whenever possible and we will do all we can to quickly get back to your inquiry.

Thanks for your patience and understanding in this matter.

    Best regards,
    The Razer Support Team.

I am actually aware of this issue and don't have any hard feelings about it. Just anxious to get things moving again. Thanks for the response.

Maybe you can provide me some info as to my request? Will the flash drive return the partition scheme to the factory setup with the recovery partition? If not is that something you can help with?

Our recovery drives reset the SSD to the factory state, or create NO recovery partition, freeing up some space.

So it gives you both of those options? That's great news if so.
