Hey all. I just received my RB 2015, and with a screen res of 1080 instead of 3200x1800 wow has black borders and can't be set to full screen. I have read that the Latest Intel drivers should help fix this. Can some post a link to the correct drivers. I have tried the ones from the Intel Website, but they refuse to install.

    ***EDIT***

My apologies, I found the scale full screen in the Intel Graphics settings.

Glad you found the solution. If you want more information, take a look at the 'Star Citizen' thread. Gist of it is to update your Intel drivers. Makes the scaling work better without changing the desktop resolution on more games.

@rimark are you guys getting "Scale to full Screen" option in Native resolution? or only in non-native resolution?

For me, the black borders are only gone if I'm gaming on the same resolution I set Windows to (in my case, 1080P). I would like, however, to game at 900P and have Windows at 1080P without the black bars. Any ideas?

Mine is a UHD version. Every time I want to play games at lower resolution I need to lower the desktop resolution to any non native resolution. Then only I can see "Scale to full screen" option in Intel graphics. Then selecting to lower resolution in game makes it full screen without any black borders,

Just got my Razer Blade 2015 and was having this problem. Disabling the touch screen fixes it. No more changing desktop resolution!

Go into Device Manager -> Human Interface Devices -> right click "HID-compliant touch screen" and click "Disable".

OMG thank you Plutonium!!! Confirmed this works beautifully. Now I can enjoy my high res desktop and still run games at 1080p

I believe I also get the option when at native resolution. I'll have to double check that after work..

I really want to try this out, since I don't use the touch screen much!

Forgive me for asking this question without testing myself (waiting on razer blade delivery). I play all my games in full-screen windowed mode so I can very quickly switch to other programs. Am I going to have any options for keeping native QHD desktop resolution and gaming at 1080p full screen windowed?

I'm not sure the disabling touch screen or scale to full screen setting are even related to the question i'm asking... I'm just assuming the black borders only exist in windowed full screen mode and regular full screen mode works fine.

If you play in fully windowed mode, everything will be likely too small for you to see at a 1080p resolution if you keep your desktop at native QHD. Borderless windowed forces the game to run at whatever resolution the desktop is running at, so you would have to set your display to 1080p first, which, if you're okay with the way it looks/behaves, should work fine for you.

I found that if I use dexpot virtual desktop software I can set one of the virtual desktops to 1920x1080 and leave the others at QHD resolution. Then it's as simple as swiping 3-fingers on the trackpad or pressing a hotkey to switch to the 1920x1080 desktop with a game running in windowed borderless-full screen mode, or to switch back to the primary QHD desktop. Such a setup wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for all the horsepower the razer blade has. I am so glad I went for the QHD model.
