So I have heard some people that have succesfully been able to get the 2014 Blade to work at UHD at lower refresh rates (30 hz).

See this link for example: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...014-and-4k-display-results-and-review.753327/

I have a monitor with 3440 x 1440 resolution, and I cannot seem to find a way to get my laptop to output a resolution about 2560 x 1980. Does anybody have some suggestions?

I tried to go into the intel graphics settings but it has a bug where it says ANY resolution exceeds bandwidth.

EDIT: OKAY FALSE ALARM. I got it! In the intel graphics settings - in the bottom left corner they have a monitor selection drop-down menu. Be sure to select the external monitor.

I would delete the thread but I think I've seen a few other threads during my search that ask the same thread so it may be good to leave it up. But mods feel free to close it.
