Just got Razer Gan charger, tried before hyper juice 100 watt and 65 watt Razer book charger to power blade 14 3070, results was suck. So I tried their own charger.
Comparison with Razer overpriced powerbank (end of cycle product as always like Razer phone:D)

SoTR benchmark (ignore the gpu tgp I don’t use stock Razer bios :p)

Timespy with Gan charger (ignore the results it’s again non stock bios ;)

It’s not an hour owning experience I’ll update once it blows out :twitchy: But as expected while running those benchmarks it consumes like 2% battery within 15 minutes. However it’s impressive performance from American spirit cigarette box size power adapter, it doesn’t run hot but warm yes not uncomfortable to touch since it use interesting material, not cold aluminum like that Powerbank above but better build than plastic hyper juice I had. 2 meters cable is also nice to have.

I've been using something similar to this from RavPower. But it's 90w instead of 130w. Been using it for a year as my travel usb-c charger with my phone and switch. So these kind of chargers are always nice. I haven't tried it on my Blade 14 since I know it's far to weak for anything other than topping it off.

And confirmed you're a switch gamer like me! :p

Yes we’ve both lite and normal switch, recently didn’t play it though thanks to blade 14.
Just run games like almost an hours, and shutt it down :chatterbox:, freaking out that I blow it, the Gan isn’t hot but blade battery is, so don’t do that often for gaming it baking the battery asking trouble, it runs almost full performance the only thing downgraded is cpu I think. Everyday it surprises me in different ways :biglaugh:

something to note, not sure which parts I ruined but now even on 65 watt Razer book ac adapter it doesn’t bring ac adapter warning and gpu frequency now isn’t capped on other smaller ac adapter power, did they make some changes through synapse update, I remember like yesterday there was auto update…, so means you’re not throttled anymore using lower ac adapter :vbconfused:.

Can you test it with ravpower, not like me an hour gaming just check if the performance okay not laggy? Before both 65 ac adapter and hyper juice 100 watt gan did weird gpu frequency throttle, worse than battery power performance, now I don’t have hyper juice anymore but with that tiny 65 watt Razer book ac adapter it gives similar performance…hmm :vbconfused: :vbconfused:

Update, since some users on Reddit report some varying issues, it’s not Razer Gan charger that is great but above i tested on other vbios. The stock vbios won’t allow you get full gpu performance, well usb c won’t be as great as original 230 watt though, only using the other vbios could give you performance as I showed above, heck Razer book 65 watt can also give same experience.
So I’ll return maybe the Gan charger and get another Gan from Amazon that cost more humanity, btw it’s directly from Razer store, I’m joining you now @jlp0209 see how I’d be F on the process :swoon:

Update: Shipping back costs €20 bucks that I’ve to pay (f now it’s in Netherlands so costs more, before inland), similar size Gan charger only 100 watt from hyper juice costs €100 but come without 2m usb C that costs another €20, €120(-30 watt, and -snakes head logo :D ) vs €160 ( -€20 wasting shipping fee + mentally damages from waiting refund, let say €100 :D) so I’ve to keep the Razer Gan.
Tldr, unless you live in Netherlands (for EU), don’t buy directly from Razer if you’re thinking returning it on return windows, shipping back costs two movie tickets, better using for date. Lesson learned :p

I bought the GaN charger from razer and think it's quite good. But yeah, it is overpriced. My RBA 2020 can run games at " full" performance. Unfortunately, synapse switches to the balanced profile, for normal use with the 230W brick, I usually use low CPU power as it is sufficient for most of my games/tasks.

That’s great to hear that 2020 RBA runs on full performance, i heard not on 2021 (v1) RBA, on RB14 2021 stock vbios as well (gpu frequency throttle a lot). Yes it’s because costum performance needs more wattage, using lower power brick it’ll automatically go to balance mode. And check the battery areas temperature depends on tasks (mine gaming) it will cook the battery for consuming its power (since demand might be higher than 100 watt the Gan can supply).
It’s great quality unit even too expensive, for 2m cable a lone it costs like 20 bucks here (good quality one). I ended up keeping it, since shipping back costs me almost €20 and maybe the waiting and mailing this and that CS things doesn’t worth my time and after all it’s only under 200 bucks product. Didn’t regret it actually I brought it on vacation it saved a lot space and did his job great, only afraid when cleaning boy know the product and steal it honestly  so I kept it on saving box :D
