I have a 2600$ CAD budget for a Razer, either 14" or 15". I don't want 4k / touch display, I had way too much trouble with those.

I was looking at the Blade 15 with 1070 or Blade 14 equivalent.

What time is best for to get the best deal ?

Razer pretty much only do discount on blades round black friday. Theres loads of codes flying round at the moment, check the blade 15 forum in this area!

Sounds like the biggest discounts as usual go to the blade pro.

Just ordered the blade 15 from Amazon. They are doing £220 off instead of the £180 razer offered over email. Tho might be a sign of what their black Friday offers might look like.

I don't think Razer will offer more than £180, would be a kick in the teeth for subscribers who purchased it with the code earlier - so the Amazon offer seems great.

Thinking of getting Curry's to price match Amazon (as they do), then get a 10% staff discount on it from someone I know, and then get 8% cash back using some Curry's gift card from a corporation that is offering. But I am feeling lazy :).

Curry's refused to sell me the 3 year warranty with the 1070 model, only the 1060. And they won't be matching the razer sale. But maybe they'll match Amazon. But I gave up with them having been talking to their support team for 3 days trying to get the website updated to allow that 3 year warranty!

Amazon was good as it's next day with prime, is £40 cheaper than razer, still has the COD offer, they do 2 years insurance and warranty extension for £130, and I trust their customer service to do the right thing.

I'm not saying it won't go cheaper but this is the cheapest I've seen the blades at!

Yep Curry's don't have Razer as a price match retailer. but Amazon they do. You made the right choice for your case anyway as they don't seem to offer the plan for your model. If I buy, I'd be getting the GTX 1060 model (I would actually recommend that model to you, the benchmarks battery life and thermals don't seem to be worth it from the GTX 1070, some games even end up performing better under the GTX 1060 because it probably allows for the CPU to work harder due to having more thermal headroom).

Yeah all good points there and makes sense. But this is my 3rd laptop in 11 years. My laptop's are usually around for a few years. So my outgoing msi gs60 was the top of the line 870m gtx rather than the 860m. It meant I could still squeeze just a few frames more out of modern games even tho it's 5 years old. So I'd rather get the best card offered to allow me to play games in the future! As the 1070 still pushes out 30% higher FPS. Albeit at the cost of thermals and battery.
