After dealing with two extremely rude Dell sales representatives, I decided to splurge for Razer 14 which in the retrospect to the benchmarks of 960m was the right decision. I was able to get 15% by stacking educational and 5% off discount from Microsoft store. Sorry for off topic preface.

The question that I have for the community is what accessories did you guys find the most useful while gaming on the go? I would use Razer most frequently while parked in the car for 1.5-2 hours.

    1. I imagine the inverter would be useful. Do you have any recommendations? The one that I am looking at
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ATXERNO...lid=1Y2Y2B2VKU64Z&coliid=I1CR4K5HNPWSMM&psc=1
Do you think it is overkill with 500 Watts?

    2. I was also looking for lapdesk that would be semi portable with build-in cooler and mousepad
The only one that I found was this
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002VC9F0Q...UTF8&colid=1Y2Y2B2VKU64Z&coliid=ISJCQ8H2YPO1V
and it looks kind of cheesy...

There is also CoolerMaster Notepal which looks really nice but it does not have mousepad
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051GK6RA...UTF8&colid=1Y2Y2B2VKU64Z&coliid=I9G40Z4RI86OF

There is also Skelter lapdesk with mousepad but without active cooling

    3. Which brings my next question: do you guys use external mouse for gaming or touch pad works for you? (I have never gamed using touchpad - laptops that i had before were work only machines). I heard Orochi is a good mobile gaming mouse. Is that true in your opinion?

    4. For the sleeves, I know it was discussed in another thread but do you think https://www.thegrommet.com/tech-gadgets/mintcases would work well for Razor ?
    (sleeves dimension are 10.3"L x 13.6"W x .3"H)

Thank you for reading and for your input.

    1. 500W should be plenty, the power adapter on the blade is 150W. Just make sure it can put out as many amps on one plug as the power adapter requires (the wall adapter requirements are printed on it)

    2. I use this, http://www.amazon.com/The-Lap-King-Desk-Ultimate/dp/B0031047H8 . I like the "treaded" surface that allows for some additional air flow, as well its super comfy. No mouse pad or cooler though.. sorry.. If you're going to be in a car, run the AC and point it at the back of the laptop so the cool air flows under and up through the intake fans. Probably would work wonders.

    3. I use an external mouse rarely, only certain games where I have very little choice. My first choice is always my wired XBox 360 controller. My second choice is the trackpad if I can get away with it (for instance turn based games or slower paced games are fine..). And if I just have to use a mouse (hectic ARPG's, the rare first person game with no 360 support), I have a Logitech MX Anywhere mouse. I literally use it on a stiff pillow if I'm on the couch, or the arm of my chair (I have a flat decently wide arm on the recliner). That Logitech MX Anywhere mouse uses their "Darkfield" tech. It literally works on ANY surface.. I mean ANY. I love it. But if the game works with the 360 controller I'll use it in a heartbeat. I CANNOT WAIT TO GET A STEAM CONTROLLER. I doubt I would use a mouse or the trackpad ever again for gaming.

    4. Don't care for sleeves, sorry can't be of use there.

My car slurps gas like crazy when idling. Need to get diesel , I heard they are very frugal on idle. So I plan just to charge the razor up and then use it on battery as long as I can, turning on the engine only when the battery gets low.

Do you just stuff it in the bag? what bag do you use?

    1. Can't really mention on this
    2. For a lapdesk, I've been using a finished plank haha, in this case an extra shelf from my ikea book shelf lol. I cant recommend anything besides that.
    3. For a mobile mouse, I can recommend both the orochi and the anywhere mouse - both has their merits. I personally don't like usb mice because (I'm lazy and leave them in the laptop, even when traveling) they ruin the socket when left in the socket too long. But the anywhere mouse is a sweet mouse - I think I liked the fast scroll?
The orochi is very good as well though - and is the mouse I've been using for the past two years. The auto bluetooth connectivity never gave me any trouble and is super convenient, and the auto sleep mode works pretty good - although a bit annoying having to hit a mouse button to wake it up if you leave it alone for like a minute. I'd recommend the Orochi for sure.
    4. My personal experience with sleeves in the past with other laptops is that if you don't get one made for that specific laptop you'll get extra fabric etc. And if you're picky like me it'll annoy you. Other than that I can't say anything about the one you linked, but I think I'm going to buy the sleeve from Razer for myself.
