Does anyone know if it's possible to swap the screens from the 4k to the 1080 Matte version?

I have a friend who damaged his Blade Pro Screen, and we are trying to figure out if we can go with a swap on a cheaper screen as he also prefers matte over gloss. And yes he realizes that he will lose G-Sync but nevertheless wanted to know if it was possible or not.

    Thanks.

Im not sure if the 1060 version has a matte screen? If so you need to source the whole screen lid + panel. The pro 1080 version has a screen that is fused with the glass and glued into the aluminum lid. Hard to work with to remove that all to begin with and even replace the panel itself for the same model.

It does, the RBP 7700HQ/1060 has a 120hz 1080P matte display.

Source: typing on it right now

oh it doesn't matter anymore I went back to the Razer Blade 15, sadly the weight of the Blade Pro did not feel or seem feasible over the long term and have since just stuck with the Blade 15.
