    Hi,

I was playing a game earlier and noticed a lot of stuttering. I then realized the fans weren't spinning up so I'm guessing that there's some throttling going on due to over heating.

Does anybody know of a way to test the fans to see if they have stopped working? If they have stopped working, any ideas on what I could do to try and get them working again?

    Thanks.

Fans might not stop working but you could have lint and dirt block the air flow. However, if you don't hear any noise from fans, then they are probably dead.
You can open bottom cover using T5 Torx screw driver and check for dirt or fan problem

Thanks for the reply. I'll see if I can open the back and check. If they're dead I'm guessing it's a RMA?

You can check the grill I think it’s visible and noticeable when the fans don’t spin. Since it’s already over a year maybe you have to do dusting on it even it works but you get thermal and stuttering issues.
If it still under guarantee, I’ll send it though rather than opening by my self, let them the professional do their job.
