    Hello everyone.

I have got a Razer Blade pro 2013 new fully loaded. But now years pass by and I like to update my laptop. But I did not want pay $3000.00 and now there is no Razer Blade Pro. So I got a motherboard from the Razer Blade pro 2015 and try to install it. Everything is the same and everything fits very well except one thing. The video cable to the monito is different. The number of conductors are the same the connector is little bigger. So I try to look for the video cable from the mainboard to the screen. And I can’t find it on ebay or any other place.

Can anyone tell me a part number or a place where I can get this cable?

It's possible it's ahva vs eDP which are two completely different interfaces.

So what do i need to get a new interface card and a cable??

The display and all the specs are the same except GPU and CPU. The screen is seems the same. As i understand it's a HDMI cable with a different layout.

I meant LVDS not AHVA. Sorry. mixed up my abbreviations!!

The 2013 blade had a really crap 1600x900 TN panel. The 2014 forward used a 3200x1800 IGZO panel. (There was also a 1080 option in 2015 but let's ignore that)

No. Internally most modern displays connect wth eDP. LVDS is an older standard. They are not compatible.

I just realized this is the 17" pro.. apologies. It's possible that the same holds true if the connection socket format is not the same.

The 17" pro is same 1080P and i think there is no point for the Razer to change the screen if they don't change the resolution. Do you know where i can get the cable.
Everything is the same in the laptop. The the lay out and all the connecter are the same except video. And video have same amount of conductors. So i think its just a matter of the connector.

If the connector is different there's a real chance they switched from LVDS to eDP.

What is the model number of your current panel?

I looked up the panel information for a 2015. It's an LVDS TN panel with a 40-pin connector:

I can find nothing about the 2013 panel online. If you can determine the model number of the panel you can look it up on that site and find out what panel it is and what connector it has. I suppose it is entirely possible that razer just changed the connector, but that doesn't make much sense.
