Hey fellow Blade Pro's, I've actually participated in this kind of topic for my other systems before and found them extremely helpful in finding the right place to store or carry my laptop, so I hope we get some discussion here as well. Similar to the owner threads though, I think it's more efficient if Blades and Blade Pro's are separated especially since this involves merchandise only applicable to the Pro.

I'm currently using a Nixon Shadow Backpack (large) as a bag and I actually ordered the 17" sleeve from Razer too.

The sleeve definitely fits the Blade Pro very well, except I find that the sleeve is actually really really thick and wider/longer that my Blade Pro goes from fitting into the laptop compartment on my backpack easily to barely fitting at all with the sleeve. Pictures to follow.

Should I consider storing the Blade Pro in my backpack without a sleeve? Or does it risk scratches?

What are you guys using to store your Blade Pro's?

    Edit:

No longer using the Nixon Shadow Backpack, moved to the Everki Titan (EKP120) as posted in the next few pages.

I'm using the Targus XL that I bought when I used my G73HJ. It is a bit big for the Blade. I'm also a little concerned about scratching it and was thinking of getting a sleeve, but I'm not sure.

The Razer sleeve would probably make it fit perfectly in your Targus, since it's significantly bigger than the Blade itself, in my opinion. For context:

This is the bag I'm using.

This is the Blade Pro sleeve alone, with no Blade inside, and it cannot fit in the laptop compartment. Not even dangerously tight, but not at all.

The sleeve fits perfectly into the large main compartment though. This is still an empty sleeve, but the only difference would probably be the weight.

These are all the gear I need to carry: (include the Blade in the sleeve and it's power components)

I would actually like to see Razer come up with a sleeve that maintains the extremely thin and light form factor of the Blade. I think the sleeve they provide is more of a standalone compartment and not one that you further place into another bag. For example, my previous laptop had a sleeve that was basically a cloth like form, it gave that surface protection I needed but didn't add any weight or dimensions to my laptop at all.

Alternatively, I'm also more of a backpack person. I don't like having a bag dangling on my side for those tight spaces (bus aisles, trains, etc) so I like backpacks being just on my back. So if a Razer backpack, that has the same synergy with the Blade as their messenger bags do, comes out, I'm almost definitely getting one.

I'd love to see a Blade Pro together with the bags that Razer offers too!

Briggs and Riley. Two of their bags are a perfect fit! Look for the Max Slim briefcase. (Vb440).

Thanks! I'll look into these as soon as I get my Blade back. Lol.

I was researching into the messenger bags that Razer gives and actually really considered getting the Nylon one, except I can't seem to find it anywhere other than the Razer store.

A fair warning..the Briggs isn't cheap, it's over $200, but they have a lifetime warranty, and will outlast anything you put in it. I carted laptops around the world in my old one, and just gave it to my son. Like the Razer itself, you're paying a bit extra for quality.

Noted. Worth the investment if it takes good care of my Blade and allows for a professional setting too.

The PKG STUFF 16" Laptop Sleeve fits the Razer Blade Pro very well and the front pocket is big enough for me to fit an external hard drive, external disk drive as well as the charger all very nicely.Trying to get a mouse in there is pushing it, but it is possible. The case dimensions are 17.3"x13"x1.6"

A 16" sleeve? Interesting. I actually like the sound of that, being able to fit in almost all the portable stuff needed for the Blade. Thanks for this!

Very nice! I'm very interested in the 18" version.

In the 18.4" gallery, what is that last photo that looks like a messenger bag storing all the wires/gadgets? Is that from within the backpack?

Really liking the video review to show how much can fit in it too, thanks!

    Edit:

Just saw the video, just a small pouch from inside. Still, looking really great! I'm considering the 18" version!

    Edit:

I'm convinced, ordered the 18.4" Titan. Lol! Thank you very much for sharing this! Looks perfect :)

Great! I couldn't see anything that I'd lack with that backpack other than probably being too big. Lol!

A review on it on a local online reseller also stated that a Razer Blade in its sleeve easily fits in this backpack, which pretty much fully convinced me. Lol.

Thanks again! Will post photos :)

I'm actually in Sydney as well and was able to find an online reseller with overnight shipping. It actually came out much cheaper with the same benefits, from what I understand. You should check them out! I should be receiving it today, hopefully.

    Edit:

I just got it delivered and with me right now. It's looking great! So much space. I haven't tried fitting in my Blade yet, but I am more than certain that it'll fit the Blade Pro + sleeve in it easily. I'll try to fit in all my Razer gear in it as well and have photos :)

Don't get the Ogio Bandit 17... I stupidly purchased before getting my blade pro in and when it got here, it was just barely too small of a space to fit in :(. So i'm going back to searching... shame too because I loved everything about that bag. If someone can find a backpack with somewhat similar dimensions and that actually fits the blade and manages to look good like the bandit I would really appreciate it. Here's a link to the Bandit 17 for comparison:

BANDIT 17 Laptop Backpack - Backpacks

I looked at the above suggestions and I don't know if I can justify that much money for a bag. The problem is that the ones that I've looked at that are cheaper either look giant, don't look like they offer adequate protection, or don't quite have enough space to carry my books and other things (I am a college student). The good thing about that Ogio bag was it had just enough space without looking like a turtle when you put it on. It was the perfect happy medium for me. All they would have to do is make it a tiny bit deeper and/or make it not taper around so sharply at the top.

I'm really hooked with Everki bags ever since that post (loving my Titan atm), but in your case I remember seeing a slimmer version of an Everki which can hold any 17" apparently. I'll update when back home.

Thanks, I have been thinking it over and am highly considering Everki now. May as well do the best I can to protect my investment. Currently looking at the beacon but am still wondering if it may be a bit too large. The Titan would be way more than I would ever need, but an awesome bag regardless and could I see why one would love it. Would love to hear more feedback about any of the other Everki bags.

Also, does anyone know if the beacon will have the extra corner padding in the laptop compartment like in the atlas or concept backpack? Or will it have plenty of padding anyways?

My bad, forgot to update you. The bag I meant that had a slim (or relatively slim) form was the Swift Light: Backpacks : Swift Light Laptop Backpack, fits up to 17"

If their padding is anything like mine, it's more than enough. Not to mention that the actual material used inside the laptop compartment is great. The reviews definitely helped me understand/justify the purchase though :)

Will the laptop fit though? My last bag said up to 17 inch laptop as well and that didn't work. It looks great if that's the case. Perhaps a bit too small since I will be carrying textbooks in there as well.

I think I've narrowed it down to this if the blade will fit or the beacon if I think I will need that extra space. Decisions, decisions...

    It should fit.

Laptop compartment of the Swift Light from Backpacks : Swift Light Laptop Backpack, fits up to 17" says it fits up to:

    11.61 x 1.38 x 18.31 in versus the Razer Blade Pro's dimensions of 10.9 x 0.88 x 16.8 :)

So there should be more than enough room.

I would personally go with the Beacon though, same reason why I went all the way for the Titan, just more room in case I need any :)

Sounds great! :) I would say the Glide would be a good option too as I think it looks the best if I were to go off of purely looks.

The titan doesn't feel too large or cumbersome to you? I doubt I would carry much more than a couple of text books, a small binder, and my laptop in there anyways, but like you said it may be good to have the option of extra space should I go with the Beacon.

What's hard to decide with Everki is that all the bags look great for different reasons. Guess it's not necessarily a bad problem to have :).

From my short experience and time with it, not too big at all. It's definitely bigger than my last backpack, but nothing backbreaking (literally).

That's true though, they have very similar products but each of them seem to have a different use as well. I'm very impressed with Everki now and looks like I might have a permanent brand for backpacks (until someone can make them as spacious and productive as these, with a sexier form).

A big plus for the Titan, personally, was the water holder, lol. Small thing, but it was the factor that made me go from the Beacon to the Titan :)

I found this case by Pelican that is obviously too small but I love the idea of hard and waterproof. Has anyone found anything similar to this that will work for the RBP?
