Does anyone have a bios for a
    1. razer blade 14 2013
    2. razer blade pro 2013-2016
    3. razer blade 14 2015 FHD edition
    4. razer blade 14 2016 edition
    5. razer blade 14 2017 edition

I am looking to complete my bios collection for razer devices on my site, so that anyone can have access to them for all models in 1 area for free. Anyone who can provide the above could help a lot of people. I also want them because I am also looking to start working on some additional bios and vbios modifications for more models. Thanks!

Vbios are not contained on the bios chip. Requesting that as well would help with what you are wanting to do.

I am aware of this. vbios has its own chip on these devices on the 14inch 2014+ models. On the 2013 vbios is contained in main system bios. I still want the main system bios on the listed models though.

Thankyou! I assume you got this vbios from reading vbios chip directly with programmer?

Sorry, my mistake....the vBios linked above is from the RB 2017 (kabylake), posted by @Nuke33 .
The vBios for the RB 2016 (skylake gtx1060) is this one.
    https://ufile.io/sm68z

I did flash the kabylake vbios onto my skylake and it worked. I used nvflash.

thankyou Nuke! For anyone wondering, all of the bios files are going to be uploaded here- http://techworksrepair.com/downloads.html
my goal is to get a complete collection of all of them in a single place, that way if someone needs one, they don't have to go searching everywhere for it.

Over time(may take awhile) I will make a modified system bios and a modified vbios for each razer as well. (already a couple available). Also coming eventually may be an embedded controller update for models which do not allow fan control such as the 2013,2014,2015. This feature for unlocked fan control will be added in to these systems eventually.(Still need to find reliable flash procedure.)

Looking forward to it. I wanted to modify the vbios myself as well but I never figured out how to modify dynamic voltage states for kepler and newer cards.

Got it. yeah pascal was a major change to the way boost and voltage tables work. I do understand the logic to mod it but currently the only reliable flash method is direct through a programmer. It may take awhile for that mod to be released.

The programmer thing is too complicated for me, so I am hoping someone will crack pascal eventually to be able to flash a modded vbios easily.

Before pascal wasn´t a walk in the park either. My attempts at modifying those one my GTX980ti drove me crazy. :D

So you have to unsolder, program and resolder it ?
Would be no problem for me to do so but i don´t know if it is worth the hassle since you can UV with Afterburner. Only real use-case I see is if one uses Linux or MacOS(Hackintosh) OSes.

Just out of curiosity why does it only work trough dedicated programmers ? Is it write-protected by the card ? The SPI flash is nothing special as far as I can see.

yes, unsolder, program, solder. The problem is that when you modify the rom, the signature key is invalid, so it wont flash. if you knew what the signature was you could theoretically sign it once modded and it would work. oem signauture is encrypted though. Another possibility is preserving signature, or getting the oem to sign your mod. all in theory would work but its not so easy.
With dedicated programmer there is no checking, you can just flash it.

Just as a suggestion, i would add a note if these BIOS's are dumped using a programmer or using nvflash. Sometimes its not possible to recover from a bad flash using only a nvflash dump.

Also in line flashing is pretty easy :D
Just need the right programmer and good clips.

As bloodhawk mentioned an SPI programmer can dump and program these vbios chips and you do not have to desolder and resolder.

thanks for the suggestions @bloodhawk @Hackintoshihope I use a TL866cs mini programmer here, but it doesnt support flashing/ reading these when on board. I don't mind pulling chip off if its only for 1 flash, it really only becomes an issue if you are doing multiple times due to heat degradation, at which point i would just flash to a new chip anyway. This programmer works great though and even supports 1.8V through adapter, but yes it would be nice to not have to pull off chip if doing a lot of flashing.

All you would need is a soc 8 test clip and it would work with your programmer. Please review this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/mobile-pascal-tdp-tweaker-update-and-feedback-thread.806161/ Page 3 shows the test clip.

thanks looks like an interesting read, i'm checking it out. I did have some test clips and adapters here but they broke. I have more on the way coming in from china, but even with test clips when I had them it would not let me read from chips on razer boards or dell boards, it threw an error every single time...however, it would work every time with the chip removed and i never got an error doing it that way. It's not a major issue or anything though.

I’ve used the programmer they use and test clip in that thread on my razer and it works flawlessly. Also the China test clips suck... there is on in there from amazon that is superb and allows a proper connection to the bios chips. The Chinese ones constantly break.

Yeah the newer TL866CS' have that issue. Which seems to be because of over sensitive over current protection. It's easy to over ride that using a hard mod to the programmer though.
    OR
You can use the CoRight Skypro. Way faster and works like a charm for inline flashing. Slightly cheaper as well. :D

    Very nice info @bloodhawk @Hackintoshihope
It is always very complicated to flash routers with SPI flash multiple times. That way would make test flashing a bootloader much easier.

Does the Skypro also support 256mbit+ Quad SPI chips like the Spansion S25FL256S?

Edit: Never mind, I found the supported chips list. Support is very extensive. I like it.

I think it is safe to say Razer won´t sign a mod :)
Is there a way to obtain a means of signing it yourself without signing any NDA?

They're all Chinese, but quality can obviously differ. The very cheap stuff is often made with very soft plastics, best known from 'tools included' items such as with lcd/digitizer replacements for smartphones.

If frequent reflashing is expected then you might opt for eeprom sockets:

Main thing is that you can keep a separate, stock chip at hand for easy, no-programming recovery. Neither do you have to shutdown the system prior to flashing; on boot the (v)bios, ec and me are 'shadowed' (copied to RAM) and the system will run from those copies. With the socket you can simply pull the eeprom from the live system, flash it with programmer+ adapter (200mil), drop it back, reboot and check your mods.

Unfortunately, these will not work as-is for 150mil vbios eeproms; have to mod its footprint first (and use 200mil chips henceforth). If anyone manages to find a 150mil equivalent then don't keep that information to yourself, please :vboops: .

hey bud, I actually have the bios for that one now. however, I am working on a modified bios/modified vbios combined on this one since the vbios is embedded in system bios. I need a bit more information to modify this, if you'd like to help can you please download "GPU-Z" and send me a screenshot of the main tab, put some load on the gpu and also send me a screenshot of the "sensor" tab. You would of course have access to the mod once it is complete.

Hi does anyone have the bios dump (3 bins for microchips) for Razer 14" 2017? ( RZ09-01953E72)?

I really need the bin files so my repair guy can put the firmware with a programmer. Please help! My razer is bricked :( can't afford a new motherboard.

Hey man, is there any way to convert this into 3 separate bin files for the 3 microchips?

How you bricked your machine? And what are the symptoms?
