I just bought a RB2015 (QHD+ / GTX970M / 16GB RAM) to replace my RB2014 (QHD+ / GTX870M / 8GB RAM), my only concern is that the 2015 one has some scratches on the chasis plus some minor wear on the edge of the palmrest.

My RB2014 is in perfect condition, so i was wondering... is it possible to swap motherboards between both systems?

    Possible? Maybe. Advisable? Hell no!

The internals on the RB14 are EXTREMELY delicate - and poorly designed. You could easily end up breaking something including, as Louis R. showed, the heatsink. Honestly, all you should do is use it as is and hope that the PQ mosfetts don't die and that the VBIOS module doesn't melt cause it's under the heatsink.
