    Hi All,

New to the forum but looks like a great community of people. I have a slight issue, the title pretty much says it all. But every time I plug in my DeathAdder (mouse) it drops the sensitivity of my touchpad. Then when I unplug it, it goes back to normal. Any reason for this? And if there is a "fix"?

    Thanks!

goto control panel -> Mouse ->Pointer Options and check "Enhance pointer precision"

Thanks Pu239 but I seem to always have to do that every time if I unplug the mouse and plug it back in. Anything that will fix it permanently?

I've seem to isolate the issue to Synapse 2.0. If I have it closed and plugged in my DeathAdder, the issue mention would not happen.

Not sure how to make it permanent, but its possible. I use both the Orchi mouse and a wired Logitech and it doesn't happen with either anymore. Sorry I can't remember how. Think I clicked the setting once while the external was plugged in and it stayed, but not sure. I made some registry tweaks and I might have done it there... sorry, if I remember I'll post back

SOLVED: Just change Acceleration in Synapse to 1 and your touchpad won't lose sensitivity after you plug in your mouse. This permanently checks the "enhance mouse precision" box in Windows 8.1 mouse settings.
