When I close the lid on my razer blade and it sleeps (light glowing on front of computer to denote), I notice that sometimes after I have left it closed for an extended period of time and while still at a perfectly acceptable percentage of battery remaining (ex 45%) the Razer will shut down. Is this normal activity? It seems like it may be a power saving measure.

It would appear that Windows (or at least the Windows install on the 2014 Blade) defaults to hibernating after 180 minutes on battery power, so that's probably it. You can change this by clicking the battery icon in the task tray, selecting "More power options," "Change plan settings" (for the appropriate plan), "Change advanced power settings," and then expanding the Sleep section.
