Hey everyone - does anyone know the refresh rate of the IGZO panel? I ask because at the moment, playing CS:GO turns my Blade into a furnace (high 90s C temps for CPU), which is apparently not unusual based on how the game is very CPU heavy. Through discussions on Steampowered forums, I have learned to cap the fps at whatever the refresh rate is for the panel, because at the moment my blade is putting out 300fps, which I assume is a waste of fps and just unnecessarily taxing my CPU. I have capped it at 121 fps just making a guess, and I have already noticed a significant decrease in heat (temps now low 80's C). But can anyone explain the IGZO refresh rate to a relatively amateur computer guy like me? Thanks

So theoretically I could cap my fps at 61 and not notice a difference?

Yes. There should be no noticable difference whatsoever aside from a cool and quiet blade.

OK thanks - for anyone else who plays CS:GO, this has made a world of difference. For the record, I haven't tried out 60 fps yet, only capped at 120, but it reduced my temps from near 100C to low-mid 80s at max settings. Apparently this is a problem that the game tries to put out just silly high fps numbers, so it was trying to generate 300 fps by default. The command to cap it is: fps_max 120 typed into the console

A nice tool is nVidia inspector, you can cap FPS 30-60 whatever you want.

Mine was already set to "PS_FRAMERATE_LIMITER_FPS_30" any idea what that means? I assume it is not the same as "30 FPS" because I have definitely been getting more than 30 FPS...

I think you might need to press apply to start those settings.
