    Hi everyone ^_^

I've upgraded the SSD in my Razer Blade but while getting the lid back on I caught the cable (what looks like a small ribbon cable) that goes over the battery to the power button. Is there anywhere I can get a replacement part because to go through Razer means sending it off to them directly (as they have said they cannot send out that part) which will cost $200 not including the postage both ways which seems quite steep for a cable.

My own fault for catching the cable and I've been kicking myself since but below is a picture of the cable I mean. I've searched endlessly online but without an actual part number I haven't had any luck :( I have checked the connectors and they are still ok but the cable has a crease down it as if it was partially folded. Ignore the red circle on the image.

Thanks in advance for any guidance or help given :)

The cable looks like a standard FFC / FPC Jumper Cables that you could get from Mouser or DigiKey. For example:
    15020-0097 Molex | Mouser

However, what exactly is wrong? From the picture it looks like the door on the ZIF connector is popped up. Is that what you mean? From the picture, it doesn't look broken; it just looks open. Just make sure the cable is fully inserted and close the door. Those doors on ZIF connectors can be fragile though, so be gentle. If the door is loose or damaged, it might still work if you put it in place and tape it down. If the connector is too badly damaged, you would need to RMA it unless you have experience replacing surface mount components on a pcb.

If it is the flex cable itself that needs replacing, you will need to figure out the number of conductors, pitch of the contacts (likely 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm), length of cable, and whether the contacts are on the same side of the flex, or opposite sides (looks like same side in the picture). Then search on Mouser of DigiKey to find something that matches.

    Hi :)

The picture is just a stock on I took from a website, my other issue was the screws are a bit worse for wear so I can't get to the cable at the moment. But as far as the issue goes the cable looks like it has a fold down the middle but the connector ends are still attached and looked ok from what I remember so its just finding a good way to remove the worn screws without damaging the case and swap out the cable (no response from the power button since catching that cable). I normally wouldn't mind sending to them and paying for the repair but its postage both ways to Germany plus $100 for them to just look at it then give me a quote. If I reject the quote they return the laptop but they have warned me its an additional $100 for rejecting the quote (i assume from them spending the time diagnosing the problem?

I should be able to get the case of this week when I have a chance then I can supply a picture of the cable, I just hope that cable is the cause of the problem and I haven't inadvertently damaged anything else :(

Edit: I'll look where you recommended, the only luck I've had so far was here: http://www.rapidonline.com/FFSearchResults.aspx?query=wurth flat&filterSearchScope=1
