    Hey guys,

My Razer Blade 17" (2012) keyboard and track pad is not working. The keyboard still lights up and the LCD on the trackpad still displays the default Razer logo, however, buttons and keys do not work. Synapse does not detect the keyboard or track pad either. I do not believe it is a driver issue (although I really hope it was) as I have re-installed Windows many times. It does not work at boot, meaning, I cannot press F1 or F12 to boot a device or go into setup. An external keyboard and mouse works but for a $2000+ laptop, I would expect it to last much longer than 2 years.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you for any help or support.

If it really is a hardware issue and not software, it could be a ribbon cable that has come loose is not making a perfect connection anymore. These systems are portable so bouncing around or just moving them can dislodge a cable, and maybe it wasn't fully locked down good from the beginning, who knows.

It could also be a failed keyboard itself. Keyboard should be cheap (relatively, and I have no idea how much razer actually charges compared to past notebook keyboards I've bought).
