    Hi team,

I just completed my review of the Razer Blade 15 240hz 2070 model.

As the title says there are some pretty major issues here that i'd be cautious of if buying. I do like the laptop but i'd recommend taking a look at some of the things I found including blue screening on many units, freezing etc.

I hope it helps those considering this laptop,
    Josh

As said on your reddit thread as well.

Reinstall your gpu drivers after unisntalling them with DDU would fix your issues with the blue screens etc.So no it is not prone to crashes, it is you not realizing that Nvidia released some faulty drivers some time ago.

I think this should have been done in the light of doing all the effort to make a review. and ofcourse a laptop that can go up to 240watts of power usage can get hot. but it is not overheating hot.

There are laws of physics which cannot be broken. It is one of the thinnest and smallest RTX laptops out there, the heat must go somewhere.

I don't see how you can say that considering the guy straight up says he doesn't recommend it.

That’s Linus for you. He didn’t like the 2019 Stealth and now he’s using it.

When you have that many subs I’m sure LTT knows exactly what their doing as far as “method to the madness”.

YouTube is just a glorified game if you want to succeed.

That's why I'm always excited when you post a video on youtube. You're one of the few that actually gives good honest reviews. BTW any word from Gigabyte about the Aorus 17? Just found out about it today and I was like. . .wow. Gimme.

He did blind test to choose his new daily drive, and it’s stealth 2019. No matter what he told or claimed on other video review about Razer he’s born as Razer guy :D, can’t wait to see how long it’ll last yes it’s Linus. Source: Me Razer maybe Razer guy too :), how I hate Synapse, still stick with Razer Blade :D

the way i see reviews by youtubers or bloggers is that they're using the product to sell their channel and they're using their channel to sell the product :) very hard to be honest and very hard to notice small things that actually affect actual customers
and the main thing is that they didn't spend money on it so the emotional attachment is not there :)

For the record, I agree with everything you said above, I'm just simply adding some insight from my point of view since I fill both sides of the coin as a reviewer and consumer.

I think many are certain that Content Creators are Paid to say the things that are said. I can tell you that even with my small channel, too many people think this is how it works. Some even went on to argue stating that getting a review unit even when sent back is like getting paid and sponsored. It is NOT, since I can, and mostly do, buy my own laptops for review and sell them afterwards. It makes no difference if it's sent or purchased, I can review whatever I want and not at the mercy of anyone but me. You'd be surprised how close to breaking even I am when doing this (most of the time lol). Then there's those that return a laptop after buying it making the exchange a wash. I can also confidently say that's the actual way it is 99% of the time for everyone reviewing tech like this, as in not getting $$$ to say "X" about the specific tech reviewed. Dave2d wasn't paid by Dell to say great things about the m15 but his video was featured on their website. Does that count? It's not like he's gaining much from it this point. I've had my content featured all over Gigabytes social media and gained virtually nothing from it according to my stats.

We need content to move the channel forward so this statement applies no matter what "the way i see reviews by youtubers or bloggers is that they're using the product to sell their channel and they're using their channel to sell the product"

This is why Jarrods Tech is killing it because he releases videos daily and YouTube loves this. It favors the algorithm.

My review units are sent back and my purchased units are sold off. It's all the same to me except that the laptops I bought i'm always excited to review whereas that's not always the case with the review units sent over.

I can also tell you that the manufactures that I have worked with want to make sure what i'm talking about is factual. They actually don't mind the criticism since I try to be constructive.

So being Honest is actually really easy from my point of view, especially since credibility and integrity is all we have here.

As far as spending the money yourself and having emotional attachments, there's two sides to that coin and they're both right. The other side is that without emotional attachment the review can be produced pretty straight forward without favoritism shown especially during the honeymoon phase. I've seen many laptop reviews from channels that have only reviewed their laptop. The OP laptops late 2018 had channels popping up everywhere with people talking about them.

So can you have more trust in someone with little experience who's "in love" with their purchase?

Then there's the clickbait! This is another reason why i'll likely fail as a content creator. Making obnoxious faces combined with "this laptop sucks!!" titles then next week turn a 180 talking about how amazing that same product is.... and people eat, it, up.

I enjoy talking about stuff like this as it's a topic rarely discussed and even my own perception prior to making videos compared to now has changed.

well said :) what's your channel ? i'll check it out
i watch review videos more for entertainment purposes :) and like you said most of them are click baity including LTT but i think that's how you survive on youtube
actual reviews i get from forums like this not necessarily from a review article but from complaints and problems people post to gather the sense of the product
