I don't think so, I don't think the mbp 13 lid cover would fit, since its a few mm smaller than the blade, you could try checking it out, the difference is not so horrendous

Why should Razer compromise their products by not including their logo? Every other manufacture out there includes their logo on their products. In my opinion your level of professionalism and image should be defined by your work, if it is easily compromised by the laptop that you carry then I would say your foundation was compromised to begin with. As a professional network architect I have walked into meetings with all sorts of laptops MacBook Air, to a MacBook Pro, XPS M1730, Alienware M17x with the lights blaring, as well as various IBM Thinkpads. Not once has anyone questioned my level of knowledge, ability to produce, or level of professionalism. Because my work speaks for itself.

its simple, people still look at appearances when judging, for example we would usually loan the chief cars to interview clients

I have been looking too. This is also all that I have found. If I had a cnc machine I might be able to create one myself but I dont.

    I'll keep looking!

Not sure what planet you are from where the triskelion snakes look like something dorkish. Looks great to everyone I showed.

Thread necro. Ever find a solution to this?

With that logo hidden and laptop lights off, the Razer Blade just looks like any other black laptop in an office setting. You could absolutely get away with carrying this around into any work setting without drawing negative attention.

It has nothing to do with Razer. It has to do with how people judge you at first appearances. And bringing a gaming laptop into a client meeting or office setting says "gamer." Unfortunately, video games still have the stigma of "children's toys" in some circles.

And you're a network architect, so the appearance that you're super techie / geeky doesn't count against you. That can't be said for everyone's line of work.

Sure, if you show it to other tech geeks or people under the age of 30, they might think that. But not everyone would be impressed... like C-Level executives and VPs that I meet during the course of my job.

I only wouldn't not want to show off the triskelston because it makes you a target for theft. Everyone's knows these laptops are $2000+

Then your work doesnt speak for itself. I am doing high level design work and bring an Alienware to clients. Its my portfolio they are interested in. Not my laptop, not my car, not my clothes.

I was in another forum, where a Network Architect said the same thing. His clients judged him by his work, not appearances.

When you are an individual contributor, whose job function is to create some work product as your contribution, then you are usually judged solely by the quality of your work output. You are correct on this point. This applies to you, and the Network Architect.

However, there are many other jobs where your primary purpose is to influence others to act. Two examples are management and sales. They don't create tangible work products as their output. They influence others to do something they otherwise might not have done.

A sales representative might influence a potential client to buy things from your company. Someone in management might influence his/her subordinates to act in a way that coordinates their work efforts more effectively. And when your job is to influence someone else to act, the first impression you make determines how easy / hard it will be to do that job.

That is why the appearance of "gamer" may be undesirable to some people in their workplace. You, personally, may not be affected by this. But there are many people whose job it is to influence others that would love an opaque black sticker over that Razer logo, to avoid setting the wrong first impression when they walk into a meeting**.

** - unless you are walking into a meeting with people from the games industry. I met Raven Software, and nVidia as clients in an old sales job. That was a total blast of a job.
