Dear owners i need your help!
Bought "broken" Blade 14 on eBay as 2014 touchscreen model.
Then i got laptop in hands i found that:
    - it have Core i7 4720
    - 16 ram on board phisically (only 8Gb visible in bios and Win10)
    - gtx970m gpu (3gb)
    Good thing - i get 2015 model for a price of 2014
Bad thing - nvidia drivers can be installed normally for some reason and 8Gb of ram is wasted :)

While i tryed to figure out whats wrong with drivers i found this info:
Device ID for my GPU shows "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_ 13D8&SUBSYS_ 67491A58"
Then i've opened nvrz.inf file extracted from stock driver pack and found these strings (i've skipped some useless info here):
    NVIDIA_DEV.1199. 6749.1A58 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M"
    NVIDIA_DEV. 13D8.674B.1A58 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M"
So device ID from my laptop consist of DevID partly 870m and 970m

All this thing makes me think that laptop was flashed with a wrong bios image, or bios chip was replaced by parts from 2014 model for some reason.
Razer support couldn't help me because they cant give out bios image. So i want to ask for someone to make image from Razer Blade 14 early2015 bios and share it with me.
I think that will help me, at least to fix DevId and install drivers correctly.

BIOS tools in this thread should work http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...mod-pcie-3-0-lid-mod-power-button-mod.773520/

PS: i've installed drivers by modifying inf file, but all updates should me installed manually modifying inf.

Nothing alike, sorry; I remember making this as I wanted to tweak the BIOS to modify the fan curve only (and it didn't work, they control it through FW).

Let us know if the BIOS is enough to solve your issue, it's somehow intriguing, first time I hear or something like on a fully soldered device.

By the way, you are very welcome!

Compared "original" and 2015 backup, almost the same, but some differences comes out right away!
my original bios in the left corner vs razer 2015 bios backup in the right corner :)

How safe it could be to flash that backup, what do you think?
I'll check it futher of course :)

Betty is the battery name, you might just save the previous BIOS, flash my one and if anything goes bad, just unplug the battery, flash the old BIOS and everything should go back to normality, I guess.

What I'd look into as of now is the reason why your notebook is so "strange"; try checking the MB and see if any chip has been replaced or just check if any RAM chip looks deadly burnt, chances are that previous owner changed parts for real or something died.

Ok, bios flashed incorrectly and RZ can't start :)
    My mistake during flashing process.

    One more...
Betty is not the only battery code name, but whole platform name.

    "Betty_V3" for this platform, Betty_V2 for gtx870.

Now my RB awaiting the bios restoration process in local unofficial service center

Damn, what did you do wrong to flash it incorrectly? Stopped the app mid-process? Didn't launch with administration privileges?

Sorry to read that by the way.

Also, this is the first time I hear about Betty being something else, is there anything about it on the net?

Good luck with the process by the way.

    Ok, end of story.
Good guys in service center found correct bios for my Razer. Now it's good working RB2015 with Core i7 4720, 16Gb ram and GTX970m :)
    Works perfect!

And, by the way, correct bios must be 8mb (not 4mb). It could be flashed from working system, but only if you have full image...
Because of my "flashing" they have to put out bios chip and flash it hard way.

"Betty" is the project/platform name; they are all named after the CEO's ex's.

I missed this thread when it was first started..... but yes, I can confirm: internal project names at Razer are named after the CEO's ex-girlfriends.
If you remember in past years at CES, Razer demo'd concepts called "Project Christine", and "Project Fiona" (which became the Razer Edge) .... ex-girlfriends.
