Hi, I recently purchased a Razer Blade 14inch from Jb Hifi in Australia and have had to return it to get exchanged. Both laptops exhibited a scraping, grinding noise from the gpu fan whenever it turned on no matter what angle the laptop was on and had loudly ticking power adapters. The second laptop came opened and had finger prints on the laptop and plastic wrapping despite the box being sealed which I find quite odd and after playing metro last light for 1 hour turned off without blue screening and refuses to turn back on power plug attached and non attached. Is the gpu fan sound normal and should all power addapters tick, I know for certain that the first laptop was faulty but am not sure about the second as it came used or refurbished and may have been previously returned due to similar problems, a worker at JB has offered me a refund, should i try going for another Razer?

All the power adapters seems to tick, and the majority of fans seem to make that noise. You could always contact them and ask if you dissatisfied with their product

My power adapter never ticks  but I get a strange noise sometimes when holding the computer at 40 degrees.

I would try for another Razer if it costs you nothing. It's such a wonderful product that you should try again, otherwize you'll end up with a worse computer working straight out of the box but lagging 2 years after that ... I'm sure it won't be the Blade's case.

Yeah, really impressed with the design but maybe not so much with the construction, such a solid device its really a shame I`ve had to go through this, i`ll try getting one more but after that it maybe time to wait for the next gen razer or go for another portable laptop with less gaming prowess, thanks for your responses.

Just went back to JB since they ran out of stock earlier and all of the blades they had in stock had already been opened and had damaged packaging, what the hell going on, this can`t be normal, has anyone had this happen to them before?
