    Hey

I played the game a few days ago and it was completely fine. I started it up today and there's stuttering every few seconds. I looked at task manager and the stuttering is exactly in time with a drop in CPU % utilization. So i think the CPU is throttling :/

    Any help?

    Thanks in advance

Run Intel XTU in the background and set it to monitor thermal throttling & power limit throttling as well as the CPU temp, speed and useage. Run it while playing GTA V.

That will give you a good idea what's going on.

You can also run GPU-Z in the background as well and see what's happening with your GPU in the sensors tab!

XTU will tell you if there is thermal throttling on the CPU.

I apologize if you've tried this already, but have you checked to make sure you have a power plan selected that doesn't limit CPU performance? I sometimes take my laptop out on my porch just to browse using the laptop's battery for power, and set my power plan to "Power Saver" and then forget to reset it to "High Performance" when I get back inside for some serious gaming when I'm back on AC.

XTU says there's no throttling :/ but task manager still shows CPU % utilisation dropping in spikes.

Sadly TJ I already did that. No change

    Anyone have any more advice?

I just deleted it and I'm reinstalling it, but i need to download the 60GB first so should take a while. I'm hoping a reinstall might help :)

Goto the NVidia control panel and make sure the GTA is set to use the NVidia card and not the intel one.

Below are a few items to try out, let us know your results after all have been tested. If you are not able to perform certain steps, move to the next section.

    A. Set the GPU priority:
    1. Navigate to the Desktop screen.
    2. In the bottom right hand corner of the desktop (next to the clock) click on the up pointing arrow to reveal all of the icons for programs running.
    3. Click on the Nvidia Control Panel Logo (green Nvidia Symbol) to open the Nvidia Control Panel Log.
    4. In the Nvidia Control Panel Log window click on "Manage 3D Settings" on the left hand side.
    5. Once in "Manage 3D settings" in the right hand side of the window there should be a drop down box under the text "Preferred Graphics Processor"
    6. Click the drop down box and select ""High-performance Nvidia processor" and then click apply.
    7. Load up the game or program you were experiencing issues with to see if they have been resolved.

    B. Install latest graphics drivers from our support site. Drivers can be found here:
    http://drivers.razersupport.com//index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=350&pcid=0&nav=0
Select your Blade model, Windows version, then the Nvidia and intel Graphics driver.
On install of the Nvidia driver select custom install, then check the clean install box.

    C. Recover and test again, follow this guide: https://copy.com/oAySgqKxUlQb1bF6
DO NOT install any updates, test the issue directly from a fresh recovery.

    D. If the issue persists after recovering, then the unit is in need of repair or replacement.
