I have a question for current owners of the RB 14". Do you use your system as a Laptop? Meaning do you use it sitting on your lap or is it primarily used on a flat surface (i.e. table top). If you use it as a laptop in non gaming mode of course. Do you notice any heat issues? I find myself reluctant to use the system as a laptop and have used it more as a notebook up to this point.

The industry moved away from the term 'laptop' for exactly what you are asking. Back in the day, too many people were discomforted by the heat when using it on their lap, hence the term notebook. I'd highly recommend you get some type of notebook lap stand regardless. Not just for the potential heat, but it helps prevent getting dust in the system from your jeans or w/e you wear.
