    Hi,

Yesterday I noticed that with both my power supplies (original one + UpBright® 150W New AC / DC Adapter For Razer Blade RZ09-01020101-R3U1 RZ09-01021101-R3U1) my Razer Blade would not charge.

I opened the laptop and noticed that there was a contact failure between the red wire + tip and the power plug (the red wire going to the battery to charge it). When I plugged the charger it would push the wires + tip to the left (cf. picture - not mine but same). I put a small piece of plastic wrapped with tape behind so that now the tip stays connected to the plug when plugged in. It worked.

I just wonder how long it will, and if it may damage the computer. Can plastic melt inside ? Is there a risk of short circuit (plastic + tape?) ?

Did it happen to someone else ? Is there a way to really fix this without installing this extra piece ? I did no feel confident enough to disassemble the power plug area and see why the plug would push the wires + tip. Is it easy to do so or shall I need to disassemble the whole laptop ? Is there any tutorial ?

    Thanks for reading !
