I do not own one of these awesome looking machines...

But I would love to see some pictures of these machines from actual people rather the stills from the manufacturers website and reviewers...

    Thanks in advance.

P.S.I am now torn between the Razer Blade 17", MSI GS70 and the Alienware M17x R5

Don't have pictures, sorry. I can give advice.

The Razer and MSI are thinner and lighter than the Alienware. The AW 17 is closer to an "upgradeability and power at all costs" machine. A good chance exists that you cannot upgrade the MSI's or Razer's GPU, but people often do so for Alienwares. AW has the best warranty with NBD parts dispatch and accidental damage coverage; most people buy MSIs from small resellers, which probably offer better service on average than Dell does; I think that Razer has all-U.S. technical support, which one could argue is a step up from some of Dell's support venues.

I can't help with the pics but I can give you an opinion

MSI GS70 is not equal to a RBP, It has heating issues, and is manufactured at a much lower level of quality, the keyboard has too much light leaking around the keys the body is not machined aluminum but rather aluminum skinned. It has a steel series keyboard which for me personally is a major stop sign (I know for many others its a good thing), I hate the layout of the ports especially the right side power cord.

Moving on to the Razer vs the M17, depends alot on what you want, how are you going to configure it and how much space/strength you have for lugging it around. IMO if you are going to go with a M17 get it topped out with specs at it's max so you don't have any regrets. Performance between the two will be hard to compare as you are really dealing with RBP having a fixed set of features and the M17 with customizable options, they are also two very different styles. Personally I prefer the aluminum body and lower weight and size to the performance of a maxed out M17, I also am very biased against anything that has to do with Dell.

Good Luck hope this helped some

I would simply get the 680m for your m17x and get a better cpu, add a ssd and its a new high performance notebook

Thanks so much for all the feedback and the pictures guys!!!

I was honestly kind of turned off of the RBP from a few reviews and videos I watched about the custom keys and track pad concept on the right side... quite a few bugs in the pre-loaded applications from the things I have heard and saw.

Can any one comment on them?

I think when it comes down to it, both laptops(the AW and the RBP) look gorgeous for laptops. We will see soon!

    Thanks again!

Track pad on the right is an adjustment, but I like tat I never have to worry about hitting it while typing.
As for the switchblade ui, I find it neat, gimmicky and fun to dabble with but have found no real overwhelming need to use it thus far though I have high hopes for it in the future. Don't let the switchblade be a deciding point though as you can always add one via an external keyboard if need be later on with the AW

I somehow attached the wrong thumbnails and cant get rid of them sorry doh1

Hey! Fellow RBP owner here as well.

    1. The SBUI/trackpad on the right isn't an issue anymore at all. At first, it definitely needed some getting used to since habit brings my hand below the keyboard for the trackpad. I'm completely used to it now though. The SBUI has huge potential, I just wish it had more support from Razer, users, and programs.

    2. With the least possible bias as possible, the RBP vs GS70 is a no-brainer choice unless cost is your #1 factor. The quality of the RBP is just incredibly better. The RBP vs M17 though, that's completely based on needs, imo. I came from an M17x R4 before getting a RBP. And my biggest frustration then and my biggest satisfaction now was being unable to practically and comfortably bring my laptop (m17) to school or other places without it being a big hassle. The RBP is so much easier to carry around and be comfortable with now - this is especially true since I'm a traveling international student. The M17x required me to pack all its power components, all my mice/gaming gear into my check-in luggage while the RBP allows me to bring basically everything on my backpack.

    A few photos overtime:
