I am having flickering issues with my Blade's sceeen and it's obviously not under warranty anymore. I opened it up and detached its screen. The issue probably has to do with either the cable or the screen, which I hope is the former.

There are charactere on the cable:
    "

    NT77L0213
    "
    It's a 30-pin eDP connector.

I am wondering if I can find a replacement for it. I'm also not sure as to whether I need exactly the same cable. There must be other compatible cables with identical properties, right?

You can probably find the cable on Aliexpress.

Do I need the exact same cable? Can I get any 30-pin 2 lane eDP connector? If not, why?

By the way, I opened my laptop up and disconnected the eDP connector from the motherboard while the computer was running (at this stage I didn't even know what the cable was for), and the screen went completely black, which made me realize it is the screen cable. I plugged it back in and the flickering continued. I repeated this a few times, then the screen just remained black even if the cable was connected to the motherboard.

Is there any way I damaged the screen by doing this? It's been a day, I don't recall the burnt electronics smell coming from it, so I am guessing it's just that the cable was on the verge of death and finally died.

Sorry I can't help. Not sure from your description if it is the cable or screen, only with further testing. I think it might be the screen, but I don't have enough experience to be sure.
