Anyone else experienced a failure of the left mouse button on their 2014 Razer Blade 14"?

Mine has started becoming intermittently responsive as well. Unless I press it somewhat hard I can hear the click but it doesn't contact then if I continue to press it'll finally contact and register a click.

I've had the same problem. Twice, now.

When I first got my Blade, I used to play Skyrim a lot. That's a heavy user of the right button. After nine months or so, the right button became, as you say, intermittently responsive. I sent it to Razer under warranty, and they fixed it.

Since then, I've spent more time playing Minecraft. That's a heavy user of the *left* button. A few weeks ago (after another nine months of use), the left button became intermittently responsive.

Now I'm kind of frustrated, since it'll be a couple hundred dollars to repair out of warranty. Given Razer's marketing as a gaming computer company, I would have thought they would have used buttons that don't wear out in nine months. But my sample size of two buttons suggests otherwise. (sigh) Maybe most people don't use the built-in buttons for gaming.

I don't suppose anyone has any ideas about obvious alternatives, like how difficult it might be to get a replacement button myself. The laptop is probably still worth a $300/year charge to keep it working, but the experience isn't all I'd hoped for.

Same here, started a couple months ago. Can hear it click but Windows doesn't register it. Unfortunately my Blade is out of warranty.

No issues here, but my guess is that dirt/food/skin cells have gotten in there and cause issues. Glad to see RazerCS respond to you so quickly!

You know keyswitches do wear out, bad quality switches wear out real quickly. It is very hard for dirt to come inside of a switch. Think of mousebutton switches for example.

It seems everyone is having the same problems. Mine has had the left mouse button intermittently responding for quite some time. It's seldom enough that I've just been dealing with it.

Edit: seems to have stopped happening (the turning off part) the mouse button is still internment sometimes.
