Didn't see a thread on this, so thought I'd start one to get a discussion going (apologies if I missed it). Just posting some thoughts/speculation on what it will be packing and potential release time-frame

CPU - Intel Skylake 6700HQ/6770HQ. Don't see them going higher than this.
GPU - Nvidia Pascal-based mobile GPU model equivalent to current 970m with possible HBM.
RAM - 16gb DDR4 base. Though they still might do a cheaper 8gb model.
SSD - 256GB/512GB/1TB Samsung PM951 or equivalent NVMe based PCI-E SSD. Doubt they will go for class-leading parts if the Stealth is anything to go by like a Samsung 950.
Screen - IGZO 4k screen. Possibly follow the Dell XPS 15 route and use a 15.4'' panel in a 14'' chassis. Very few people that make quality 4k screens and given the high-end option for the Stealth wouldn't be surprised if they pulled it off.
Chassis - Largely unchanged with expanded I/O, including a mix of USB-C, USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0 (Nvidia already supports this with 970M). And of course, chroma keyboard.

Speculated Release Date - whenever Nvidia is ready to launch Pascal based GPUs, so maybe Late Spring/Summer at the earliest.

A compact 15'' 4k laptop with a pascal based GPU that can actually handle some games at native resolution would be a fine update. And with that USB-C for some extra oomph for those more taxing titles, it could make for a much more compelling option with a quad-core CPU than the Razer Blade Stealth. My Surface Pro gen 1 is aging and I'm definitely ready to upgrade to something nicer.

    What are your thoughts?

I don't think we'll see any slim bezel displays until the response time issues get fixed. They have absolutely awful response times (slower than 90% of all screens) apparently, according to notebookcheck.

There's a thread on this already. It's even on page 1 of this sub-forum.

My mistake, looks like I completely missed that at the bottom of page 1. I'll post over there.
