Anybody using the new Blade with Adobe products like Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.? I hear that those programs don't support the proper scaling and are basically unusable at native resolution. Can anyone comment on this?

Assuming it's as bad as I've read, does anyone know of any utilities that will automatically switch the display's resolution to, say, 1080p when you launch one of these programs?

Some do and some do not. Illustrator and Lightroom work well with HiDPI, while Photoshop does not. I don't have any experience with any other Adobe apps.

Did you find a way to work in Photoshop until Adobe fix it? I've tried a few suggestions but nothing working (qHD+ 3200x1880)

I would also be curious to know if anyone who has jumped to the CC (Creative Cloud) version of InDesign can comment about the DPI scaling if they happen to install it on their Blade.

I was looking at picking up a subscription eventually, but only if the DPI scaling actually works (and if my overlords decide we need to make the switch, heh - my company currently uses CS5.5). The description I read on the website says that the CC version of InDesign finally scales with high DPI screens, but considering what I'm reading about Adobe being kind of hit or miss with DPI scaling in Windows, I'm a little dubious as to whether or not Adobe actually managed to fix things at long, long last.

I use Photoshop Elements 12 and it is quite difficult to use at native - esp. things like tool settings and preferences dialogs.

The prob. with just switching to 1080 is that unless you also dial down the HiDpi scaling from 200% or 250%, then many things that are scaled will be far too large. Changing the scale of these things down requires a sign out and sign in.

I got my Blade yesterday and installed a lot of the Creative Cloud applications. Photoshop, Premiere, and Bridge have not been updated and would be quite difficult to use at this resolution. Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Lightroom, and InDesign all seem to have been updated and look great on the screen.

I had heard that Illustrator received the update recently. Sure enough, the first time I launched it, everything was tiny. I was wondering what was going on, but then saw that an update was available. After the update, the screen issue was fixed. This is a good sign that they're working on the problem. Photoshop is the most important for me, so here's hoping they fix it soon.

No, I just use LR more and whatever LR can't handle I'll take care of when I get home.

Oh, cool - good to know that! Thanks! This makes me a bit more comfortable about making the jump at some point. Anyhow, I definitely hope they sort out the Photoshop problems soon for those who use it.
