My blade JUST started making this fan noise. I was in the middle of working on my desk and it started randomly. It has been constant for the past 10 minutes. I am not running anything heavy, in fact just chrome right now. I even tried restarting. The noise goes away if I fold the screen or turn it off only. It sounds similar to the HDD noises from back in the day.

EDIT: So, I don't think it is even the fan. Looking underneat the laptop both of the fans are stationary. The noise seems to be coming from near the fan on the RIGHT side (If you were looking at the laptop form the top)

Interesting, mine is definitely the fan. Does it only happen if it's flat? If I tilt mine it goes away. Poor quality fan, which is disappointing for the cost of the unit.

I don't think poor quality as it is the most expensive fan on aliexpress... I think it is just due to the size. Technology is just not there yet, but thanks to Razer it is coming fast

That same fan is $17 in a different housing. $100 is a complete ripoff. Actually it's $50 from another seller on aliexpress.

I've read before that the noise may be caused by the heatpipes/improper kinking of the inner material rather than the fans.

At least on mine I guarantee that the noise comes from the fan, since I had it opened on my hand spinning.
