Razer 14 2014 No boot

I picked up a mint condition razer for a good price but it does not boot. Not plugged in it will not do anything. When plugged in and the power button pressed the lights will pulse. I left it doing this for a few hours and after unplugging it for a while it stopped pulsing and did nothing else. I am guessing a bad motherboard? If so I will just part it out but I wanted to make sure it wasn't something minor as I know nothing about these things.

I think someone suggested that you let the battery drain out completely... .

 

Thank you I shall give it a shot, though the battery seems to be pretty dead already, will it boot without a battery installed? I am going to mess with it later today.

 

So I picked up another 14 with the 870m and such, but this one has a non-working touchscreen and a dead battery. The battery shows up and the laptop says it is charging and it shows up in hwinfo but nothing else, it is like it is there and but does nothing, once you unplug the battery the computer goes off since there is no power, it holds 0% charge.... I am wondering if there is a motherboard issue with the touchscreen is not working (are there drivers for it?), I just got it in so I haven't messed around with that too much. Hard to believe a battery would go out so quickly so that leads me to think there is a board issue, anyone else have any experience with these two issues? I am just going to part out the laptop but it would be nice to know what is wrong first and I cannot find too much about it.
