    On my RBP 2013 there seems to be some kind of dynamic backlighting going on and its driving me insane. We have several Razer Blades, both 14 and 17 in our home but only the RBP 2013 exhibits this behavior. Going from website to website, even tab to tab the damn back light will adjust up or down all by itself. Going from a game back to the desktop or from a you tube video to the desktop or almost anytime the content on the screen changes the back light changes. This occurs no matter what level the back light is set at and I can't seem to find any setting that will stop this from happening. Hopefully somebody has a solution to this before I destroy this thing in a blind fury.

    Thanks for the reply. That was the first thing I tried and the issue persists. Any other ideas? Perhaps a win 8.1 setting?

    Hey there;

    I remember I had trouble finding why this happened when I received my RBP. It turns out is a setting in the Intel Graphics control panel.

    To be honest, I don't remember off the top of my head which one it is and I don't have my... wait... that's a lie, it so happens I brough my RBP to work. Gimme a sec...

    ... okay, yes. Open the Intel Graphics Properties, then go to "Power" and then select the "On Battery" tab. The very last option should be "Display Power Saving Technology". You have to set that to "Disable".

    Hope that helps!
