Even when I have firefox closed, I'm seeing 25% of my ram in use. Normally, I wouldn't care, but I'm getting error messages that my memory is almost used up and I should close my program any time I play a game. It just happened to me with Skyrim! This thing has 8gb of ram, so that shouldn't be happening, should it?

I did update to windows 8.1, could that have anything to do with it?

It's really making me angry, I can tell you that much.

Ram is extremely fast memory that, unlike ssd`s, does not slow down as it fills up. Windows thus uses ram like a cache in which frequently used applications and files are stored in order to decrease loading and access times. I would be worried if your computer used more than 75% ram in idle in which case you may have a virus, 25-30% ram usage is normal, my laptop has 16gb ram and in idle 3.8gb are used which equates to around 25% so I wouldn`t be concerned.

My Blade 14" uses about 3 gbs while gaming... So I dunno. Check you task manager. Scroll down and see what is using it most.

I get that message too with 30% of RAM use. I just press "close" and keep gaming. I think it's a bug of ready the RAM level. I'm pretty sure it is 30% and not 95% (as it more or less suggests).

If I were you, I would'nt care much. Because I don't care at all :D
