Just got my Pro a few hours ago and so far Liking it a lot. Fan noise is not bad, a little less than my Aero 17.

Temps running firestrike CPU hits 97 GPU 74 this is on a flat surface and for sure by the weekend I will repaste.

The 120hz 4k screen is candy to my eyes! still loading stuff, actually during this firestrike I am installing office so maybe lowered the score some?

Anyway here is a screenshot and will post back after some more playing.

Holy crap! I’m top of the charts too.

Yeah I’m team Eluktronics now. That was just out of the box setting. So I didn’t tweak anything yet. ;)

I sadly just got it twenty minutes before I had to go to work. So I’ll be tweaking it Thursday. Tomorrow morning I’ll get a game or two installed and see what temps are like.

I’m a bit surprised the cpu is running so hot. Do they still have an undervolt on the cpu out of the box?

Don’t worry I’ll be back once I have time to sit down a tweak it.

That’s better. Figured that fancy vapor chamber and four fans can do better than that. Looking forward to the repaste numbers. And beat them. . . :p

Repasted yesterday, was the easiest system ever to repaste, literally only take out the heat sink screws, no tapes no cables to unplug except power, very pleased with results. I pushed the GPU 165/1000. Also bumped the mem to 64gb hyperx 2933 and 2tb 970 evo.

Man that’s right up there with the Max-17. Very nice. How are the CPU temps in games? Mine still spikes up to 90 in cpu intensive games. Repasting on my machine didn’t help at all sadly. Think I would need liquid metal if I wanted to cool it down at all.

after 1 hr of resident evil 3 remake on high performance all cores high 80's except for 2 cores one at 90 and highest 91.

Yes probably only LM can keep to like 70ish this intel CPUs, because it’s still 14nm imo , even GS66 new cooling, M15 with idk what they call spaceship cooling? :D can’t cool it properly, plus extra cores. I did recently finally repasting on 2018 model since it’s already on 2 years flag, only brings a bit improvement, some demanding titles like long session GTAV, Tomb Raider etc will definitely spike on certain points to 90ish, however average still in 80ish. Pretty similar with default thermal paste only better core to core different, before it was like almost 10 right before repasting. I avoid LM because never did it and pretty coward if it failed the 2K MoBo.

Yes, I meant to mention that the 90's were spikes, every time I would look at temps I was consistent in the mid 80's but HW Monitor pro had 2 cores with low 90 spikes and not much you can do about the spikes.

That’s similar to my machine then. It hits normally in the high eighties and spikes to 90 every now and then. Just wanted to make sure my machine was keeping up with the competition. Guess these 10875h are just real space heaters. ;)

Yeah no kidding. The 9750 was good with just an undervolt. But the 10875 is just a hot potato. My machine can only undervolt -80mv in the bios. Trying to use xtu or throttle stop just causes stablity issues beyond that. :( I am definitely considering it still. Figure might as well give this a shot for the first time.

I did tame the beast a bit with a cooling pad. It wasn't much but a few degrees here and there is always welcome. :)

Just received my 2020 Razer Blade Pro with the 2080 super max and this is my firestrike score out of the box. I am impressed and I have yet to overclock the GPU or undervolt the CPU.

@Darkhan Did you take any pictures when you opened the computer up? Are there room for more than one M.2 disk or even a regular SSD? I'm thinking of buying the 1080p 300Hz one. Do you think the lack of G-will be a problem when gaming?

I did not take any pictures, but its very clean inside, there is an extra m.2 slot open, there is not a 2.5 slot. And I am just guessing but with 300hz I do not think g-sync would make a difference? I say go for it and you can always return it, if unhappy?

Repaste is amazing easy, to the point I would not mind repasting every few months. Noise is tame even under load, I would compare it to my Area 51m. I have not used headphones and been playing games fine without them. I have no investment with Razer to try and sale any of their products but this system I am so happy with, its just about flawless in my book. I tried the new 15 but that one the keyboard got pretty hot and uncomfortable after 30min or so of a session, the 17 does not do this and maybe due to the extra two fans under the track pad?

I ended up getting the 17 since it was available at my local microcenter. They also told me not to get the razer protection because it was garbage and their customer service was terrible. I have to agree with the customer service being bad as it took me 1 month trying to register my laptop just so I could pay them money for the accidental coverage for my blade 15.

OK, so I get my new RB17PRO 2020 running. installed my old 970PRO 1TB with in-stock 1TB LITEON and Corsair DDR4-3000 16GB x2. Doing some simple test but the CPU package power is very hard to get over 45W. wired. Also, the RAM only can run at very low 2666Mhz with lame timming.
I think its really a must to do the bios mod, but it is soooo difficult... hope someone can do a mod BIOS .

I swapped mine for hyper X 2933 and it runs perfect, I did nothing in bios. as for 45w be sure your running your profile in max performance on cpu in synapse. Mine hits 70w at 4892 mhz.

Just some updates if anyone is interested. I was able to get my razer blade registered but can't get the serial number verified to get protection plan. I would need to contact customer support for that. Also they are looking into getting nvidia driver update to work. I can't update it past what they have installed and the tech support guy basically told me to go to nvidia website and download the correct drivers..... When I told him I already done that he said he couldn't help and needed to escalate. Let's see what happens.

It only runs up to 100w on razer laptops unfortunately as you need to adjust some settings in razer synapse for it to run up to 100w. And seeing as you cant use synapse to adjust settings on non-razer laptops, you're out of luck.

    Yes this will work

@Hackintoshihope can explain more about it

I've heard that LM might not be a wise choice on vapor chamber heatsinks as it might weaken the thin copper walls and potentially cause the cpu and gpu to leave dents where they contact the vapor chamber when it is screwed down.

Yup I can attest to that. I had my blade 15 advanced with LM and looked at it after 6 months and there was some corrosion on the vapor chamber so swapped it out for kryonaut instead.

Staining is normal for LM. It will also leave some residue as the gallium reacts with the copper and leaves solid indium and tin behind.

I've seen staining before like on my MSI laptop but this one left a rough surface on the vapor cooling, that's why I swapped it to kryonaut.

Tried running firestrike and first try got 18k plus but couldn't be validated. Tried again but CPU throttled and hit 99 degrees. i think I need to re-paste later today. lol
