EDIT: now dealing with a motherboard repair - techie says the BIOS chip is not getting any voltage (but the rest of the board is, including all fuses which are good) and there is a small part missing from the board right next to the main BIOS chip, not sure if it's a cap or resistor ... anybody share any secrets? Board schematics or the likes? Maybe a photo of their machine teared down?

No I am not sending it back to Razer to pay £1500 for a cap or resistor.

Unfortunately no, I’m not a hardware techie guy, but they’ll swap all motherboard for that single defect I think that made repair cost costs almost a blade. Hope someone more specified with hardware will pop up here.

Thanks for the reply bud - yes I'm aware, I'm neither rich or stupid enough to pay £1500 for a cap or resistor.

Even a picture of a RB17 Pro torn down would help if someone out there has it. Especially the area next to that main BIOS chip.

He showed a lot pictures on that areas I assume, is that near ssd right? Not sure if it’s clear enough.

Any of you lovely RBP17 2019 users with a SPI programmer able to give me a dump of all the BIOS chips on your board? :)

Rewriting chip now shows keyboard lights but turns off immediately !?

EDIT: This chip shows empty - surely this is not right? Can anybody supply a dump?

hello there…i have a razer blade pro 2019 model which is currently bricked. i will gladly send you detailed pictures of the machine tomorrow morning…

    RZ09-03147G02-R3G1

this is my exact model. i might also need some help…bricked it when i was toying around. fortunately i have a hardware programmer lying around. btw where are you located?

tell me what pictures do you need? which area of the laptop?

could you also help me with my machine?
i am trying to unlock everything to work nicely, and i pretty much msnaged to do all the bios unlocks to be wble to get a custom memory profile, but somehow i get the impression that changing the processor voltages etc doesnt work at all. i was on 1.03 and now am on 1.04 bios version maybe it has the plundervolt lock in it although i have the cfg lock and overclocking lock disabled. when i undervolt in bios, nothing happens or at least that is my impression. i tried to test with fixed voltage and clock but also nothing happening..and then i did the stupid thing and flashed the old 1.03 bios back but probably i have ec snd me firmware 1.04 on it and thats why it is bricked right now…
also, for extracting and writing bios i didnt need the programmer…
where is the bios chip i need to program?

Could you help me with a modified bios/fully modded setup for my machine so I can unleash it’s full potential?

Background info: as mentioned before I was able to pin overclocking menu to the main tab, I also enabled all the hidden menus that I needed however I am under the impression that i undervolt settings made from bios don’t apply also neither from throttle stop. If you want I can send you my modded bios to double check; maybe I am just doing something wrong?
managed to get a super nice oc on my ram btw. but i dont manage to get the cpu undervolted properly :(
also, is there a way to permanently set cfg lock and a few other settings to enabled? as in optimized default preset? tried this from amibcp and it wont save the new presets to the modded bios as it does with the user setting.
is there also a way to get the gpu running better with bios tweaks?
asking u cause u got that exact same machine and maybe u have been through this already.
