    Hello everyone,

As I'm absolutely forced to buy a German RB 2017, I was wondering if it's possible (and riskless) to swap the keys to get back to, at least, a QWERTY layout.

Due to the Chroma leds thing and such, I was wondering if it's somehow impossible to do it or, maybe, easier.

    Thank you!

It's easy to break the clips - I know I've broken quite a few keys by removing them on older laptops I had.

Didn't consider YouTube as a source and there's a few vids of mountings.

Looks like the keys are absolutely standard, leds are underneath and such, that's good.

Gotta hope the plastic isn't dirt cheap and will break on removal... It's just two keys, Z-Y, pray the gods with me.

Just be careful an don't force it - what you want to do is release the keycap - any extra force and the mid retainers break - that's what happened on my old Y50
